They even snuck it in last night during the Olympics, and I know it's an amazing thing to be able to give someone without sight or limited sight the power to see the world again, but I don't want to watch a machine holding someone's eyeball open. I am very eye squeamish and I know many others feel the same way. The worst is when i'm channel surfing and come across a LASIK procedure on E! or GMA - it makes me almost sick to my stomach.

If they censored everything that offended or made people squeamish, we'd be watching a blank screen on television.

Not nuts about the eye surgery, but I'm more annoyed by the constant commercials to get you to make your doc prescribe medicines you don't need. I don't really want to hear any more about urine streams while I'm trying to watch a show.

Wasn't that just a computer simulation?

I think it's cool they were able to do that for the bobsled driver and now he sees better. Tho it's funny that being able to see the course actually made his driving worse! ;)

Couldn't say it better...

That's why we DVR almost everything we want to watch, we build up a 20 minute buffer and don't have to see anything we don't want to.

Yes it was just a computer simulation.

My brother races drag cars. Any changes in his vision affects his starts off the line. When he got his glasses, getting his contacts, getting a new prescription always messes him up too. I loved that the bobsledder said he roughs up and scratches his visor so that his vision is blurred, and that way he could feel the sled.
