Your DS is toooo cute!!! You have a beautiful family...and what better way than to celebrate life then at the park of all parks!!!

I'm waiting for more...and I'm impatient...so don't keep me waiting for long!

Oh...and P.S.---love the pic of you hitting the tree...especially the little kiddo laughing behind you! :rotfl:

You trip sounds great!! Can't wait to hear more of a breakdown.

DW has given me half of the breakdown day to day and I will post it soon! Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Thank you for the sympathy! It is very appreciated! Your two babies are beautiful. I love the way that one is like, "Take the darn picture" and the other is "huh?". Very cute!

DS loves Disney. I'm not sure where he gets that exactly! Thanks for the kind comments!

It was pretty funny when we took that last pic. By the time we were done we had a crowd of about 30 kids. I'm only about three feet off of the ground, but when the kid wandered into the pic it made it seem like I was ten feet up. You can't script drama like that (.....or maybe we did?). Thanks for stopping by. I've been loving your dual report! Very innovative! Thanks.

Thanks...I told the girls you thought they were cute...it went to their heads so I won't do that again...:sad2:

Also...not only will I be tuning in for your pre-trippie...but for the hair pics!!!! Did one change since this morning or am I crazay?? :confused3

Okay, I too am hopping on!! This is what I call a spur of the moment trip since we have been planning since the fall. I have to agree though, when things get a little crazy there is nothing better than a vacation. You guys seem like such a riot!!! And are you kidding me....your son never drank a coke before he was 9!!!! Now that is dedication to the word "NO"!!! Can't wait to see what else ya bring us!!!

A couple of years ago, I cut my hair off about 11 inches for Locks of Love. It's a wonderful feeling, even if my DH hated how I looked for about 3 months.

My DS9 (and teen-tude DS13) are also not sports oriented. Give them a video game though, and their thumbs are lightning quick...go fig?

We'll be DISers passing in the night, I guess. Our last day is your first. I'll send a virtual pass the baton your way as we bid our fond farewell to The World.

You know, I miss the build up, BUT it is cool to think "I've only got three weeks till I leave for Disney, YES I DO!!!". You gotta book a Disney Cruise and feel the anticipation for that!!!! It is awesome!

DS actually doesn't get any soda. That was the first one he has had and he hasn't had one since. We were hoping it would help keep him awake for the Lion King since the play didn't end until about 11pm. (still didn't work) It's not that we are so strict, he really doesn't like it much. I guess we are just lucky. He is hyper enough without it!

Thanks for reading! I'm loving your guys report and your interaction with one another. GREAT STUFF!

Thanks! :goodvibes Still loving the report and reading about all of your plans!

Thank you! I'll have more shortly!

I understand your husbands feeling! I like DW's hair long and she hates it long. I think the reason she wanted to join Locks of Love is so that she could cut her hair without giving me an excuse to gripe! Don't worry though, I'll find other reasons! On the flip side, she hates it now when I have hair. So technically we are going to hate how each other appears for a while! Oh, well, I guess thats marriage!

I understand about the video games! I thought the Nintendo DS had grown to be part of DS's body. Did you ever see "Videodrome"?

I'm so sad that our first day is your last day! I know we don't know each other from Adam, but anybody leaving Disney is a reason to be sad (of course then the lines would REALLY suck!) Thank God you get to go! Just don't think about the last day!

Thanks for reading!

Okay, day to day breakdown.

Stars and Motor Cars parade is at 3:00pm, so we will probably take a break and watch that.

Our plans are pretty fluid. We don't feel like we need to follow it strictly. If one ride is to full, we can always get fastpasses and return later. Plus, learning how to work fast pass is very important! Not just knowing you can get one, but knowing when to get one, and when to use it.

Some basic Fast Pass rules:

1) CHECK RETURN TIME! (You can cut two hours out of your schedule if you don't check!)
2) Have a plan on what you are going to ride or do during the wait time. Find rides that have short lines or move quickly, or watch a show!
3) Don't return immediately upon the time on your fastpass. There will be a line! Show up about five or ten minutes after the time (No Wait!).
4) Go get another Fast Pass before using the one in your hand. This is another reason you want to be five or ten minutes late for your return time. Get another pass before you ride your current fast pass ride.
5) Smile like an idiot at all the schlubs waiting in the stand by line. Not to boastful, but a little boastful and a little sympathetic!

DS during planning stages

DS doesn't care about planning only riding. Honestly I'm not much for pre-planning either, but DW is a wiz at it. Of course, we always have an argument about it mid way through vacation. DW becomes the schedule Nazi and I just want to rest for a minute. You have to put in time to people watch!

People Watching Fun top ten!
1) The "You Really Shouldn't Wear That" game
2) The "Those Shoes Must Be Killing You" game
3) The "Your Going To Have Fun If I Have To Beat You" parents
4) Guys - Stop Looking at Just the Hot Women and notice that there are other people around who are pretty funny!
5) The "This Is Our First Time So I'm Video Taping Everything" family (believe me, your going to have about 12 hours of vacation you either never watch again or fast forward all the way through every time you watch it).
6) The "Your Sitting Here Doing Nothing Will You Take Our Picture" families
7) The "Where the Heck Are We?" families (hub design, folks, hub design).
8) The "We Are On a Group Trip, Not With Our Families, Misbehaving Teenager" spotting game.
9) The "How Did He/She End Up With Her/Him" game
10) The "What Is The Age Break Between Wearing Bermuda Shorts and Black Socks"game (honestly, how old are you when your mind begins to tell you that that is a good idea?).

Well, there it is folks. The hard stuff is done. Coming up next? Long-term parking, airlines, and Magical Express!

See you then!

Mmmmmmkay...can we say that your DS may look a titch bit like his momma???

And...please do tell how you got your child to not like coke...go ahead...I'm waiting!

Your daily plans look great! Thanks for the fastpass tips...we'll be using that this time!!

LOVE the people watching games!! :lmao: we do those a lot at our state fair. lots of good sights!!:scared1: i can't wait to play them with my DD. she loves stuff like that.

and she also doesn't like any kind of soft drink  isn't it WONDERFUL!! now my DS he's a different one- likes them all!! doesn't always get them but he likes them:rotfl:

The boy lucked out, what can I say! He got looks from momma and acts like his dad!

He never was big on coke and we never pushed it. He enjoyed it after the Lion King (which was in Oct 2006), but he hasn't asked for it since. That boy is all about Milk! (and Tang oddly enough! Maybe he wants to be an astronaut).

Fastpasses are easy once you figure them out. The most important part though is the smiling, don't forget to smile at all those sorry looking stand by people! They reeeeaaaallllyyyyy hate that!

Totally one of our favorite games! You just can't believe the things people will wear, do, or think up and I love to watch them as they try it!

Is there a huge difference in your children's behavior between the one who likes it as opposed to the one who doesn't? I've always wondered about that!

Thanks!

Wow, there is just way too much to comment on, I am going to start taking notes from now on. You are such a fun husband and Daddy, your family is going to have a ball.
More husbands need to read the Disboards and pick up some tips from you, first being, DO NOT give your wife a kitchen christmas (that's what I call them) new cookware, a pizza cutter, a paper towel holder, and an electric can opener, even though it was much needed, does not make for a great, or even good present. Chocolate is good! contributing to the hobbies ia also great.
The people watching game, love it love it! We are people watchers, and scheduling people watching into the vacation is a wonderful idea. We have always played the game randomly, but I like the idea of it being a little more formal. we like to watch people and create a conversation between them, those are ones we video tape.
Can't wait to read about your people watching adventures.

Comes from being born into a family with a mother, four sisters, and a female cousin being raised in the house. No brothers. You had to pick some stuff up just to survive! (Actually the true story is.....I bought DW a set of knives for our first Christmas together...big mistake, I thought she hated the knives, so I got her a better set for Valentines Day -yep, bigger mistake, I thought it was the knives themselves she hated not the gift! Now I am smarter! Not smart, just smarter!)

This year the challenge will be to teach this fine art to DS. I have tried to point out certain aspects of people to him before and he has commented loudly and with much attention getting. This time we are going to teach him to watch subtely so that daddy doesn't get his booty kicked by angry men in bermuda shorts and black socks! Wish us well.

Thanks for the comments!

So...am I doing DS a diservice by teaching him all the woman junk or not?? :rotfl:

Nope. It is best to learn when your younger. Try to learn when you are older and FAIL MISERABLY! It is kind of like Spanish. If you try to learn it when your older it is really hard and nearly impossible. Learn it early in childhood and ta-da your bilingual! He'll be best served to speak a smidgen of womanese (womish, womican???). Just don't do what my sisters did to me....I have more pictures of me as a child in women's clothes and heels than I do of me being a regular boy. (Is it wrong that I like to break in my wife's heels?)

I think high heels on a man are proof of his security in his masculinity...;)

P.S.---Is it wrong that I used to dress up my little brother? :confused3

Hey there DisneyDad, the planner with such great taste that he and his family are going to be in WDW at the same time as me and my DH! :thumbsup2

I will definitely keep an eye out for you and yours - I just want to reach through the computer and give you all a huge hug right now.

Terribly sorry to read of all your troubles last year, but this year will be better - heck, it already is, isn't it? :goodvibes

Although DH and I are "cat" people I totally understand what you mean about your loss of Buddy - pets are family and losing one is just devastating.

I've really enjoyed your pre-trippie so far and am looking forward to more! I hope you all have a lovely trip - you deserve it!! :goodvibes
