I am loving this trip report. Your family sounds so fun I am so glad for the Top Ten list as I will be going to the World with my sister this year. People watching is sort of our 'thing' to do when we are together and now to have names for the games. Whoo Hoo!!! You have made my trip!

Thank you very kindly for your comments! We always look forward to the rides at WDW, but we also look forward to the various games that we play. Another example is the Indian on the right side of Main Street at MK. Every single time we have gone I get a picture of me with the Indian. Sometimes we are friends, sometimes we are enemies, sometimes we could care less if the other one is there. But we HAVE to get the picture!

We have a myriad of activities to keep us entertained!

We got our ME info in (YYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAA!) but still no plane tickets or reservation confirmation! It is starting to make us a little bit nervous!

I will talk of packing and reservations when next we meet! But for fun, here is another silly series of pictures!

Hi Everybody. It's me, Elemusing. I just ordered two new WDW books! I just LOVE books on WDW, even if I already know more than the guide book tells me to do. heehee

So I ordered "The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World" by Julie Neal
and
"Guide to the Magic of Walt Disney World: The Lost Journals" by Tim Foster

The first one I MEANT to order. The second one was one of those that Amazon recommended. You know what I mean if you have ever bought books there. They get you at the end of your checkout by recommending other books. Oh they are sneaky that way.

So they will be here in a few days. I will let everybody know how they are then.

Roy...have you every tried to "flip book" your pics?? You know what I'm talking about...how you flip the pages of a book and it looks like the thing in the book is moving??? Did that even make sense??

Made no sense at all and yet I understood perfectly! I haven't tried that, yet. I don't know if I have patience for smaller moves. A number of years ago we used the edit feature on a video to make us look like we were moving when we weren't (how's that for not making sense). It was pretty funny seeing ourselves moving across the floor with no arms or legs or anything else in motion. I guess it was kind of a stop motion film! I'll have to try and put your idea into practise though!

Seriously, though, most of the time when we go to the park we have 30 or 40 kids with us. The more interesting parts about being a youth/children's minister! It makes the pictures more interesting when you have an on site audience you are performing to! We get them involved with a lot of our shots, but I'm not comfortable posting pictures of children not my own! (I hope everyone understands!

I'm really glad your enjoying the TR.........DW says the humor wears off eventually......kind of like bug spray!

A Couple of Huge Developments!

First off, we finally got our luggage tags and reservation confirmation information (sounds like a School House Rock Song)! Yea!!!

Now the vacation really starts!

Oh, you need proof? Well, here you go.....

Luggage Tags!!!! (YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!)(Not the web site, just pure joy!)

So now it was time. DW told me this morning that I was behind on my duties to make a family vacation notebook like I do every year so here we are......

And for a closer look.....

I know it is a little light. It is really hard to take a picture of a sheet you have copied from your computer.

So here is where we are.
1) Reservations with Disney and airline are made and confirmed.
2) ADR's are made and confirmation numbers written on our laminated daily travel sheets.
3) Day-to-Day travel plans are made and laminated for use in fanny packs.
4) Miniatures are bought for trip (had to be done!)
5) Packing.........ah, haven't quite gotten here yet. That will have to be the next installment. Luggage, Fanny Packs, and etc!


I thought you would like to see the visitors outside my office window before I left!

This is like my fourth time trying to post...two yesterday and now twice today...the Dis is not liking me right now and keeps kicking me off or won't let me signs on.

Anyhoo....YAY!!!! You got your documents and baggage tags!!! I really like the Year of millions Dreams theme they have. I am really getting jealous of everyone who is close to their trip...I still have to wait a little under 5 months. Oh well....can't wait to see how you make packing fun.

BTW those little birdies are too cute...and look very hungry.

Well I don't know where the OP is today but he should have already told you that we got our Disney Vacation Planning DVD in the mail yesterday! I know - I really don't need it but we love love love watching them and our DS is like a freak about it. He watches them OVER and OVER.

I cry the whole time I am watching it. I cry all day at WDW too. It just feels like home.

Anyway, here's a cool piece of information for you - the section on the DVD that has the kids touring all over the park - well they filmed that when we were there last year! We looked for us but never did see us. Cool huh.

I think we may need to get a new suitcase - one of our big ones has a small rip - that could become a big rip on the plane. . .

Thank you for your encouragement! Most of the time all of our planning and ideas go into that book! We booked this trip so quickly that it contains documents, tickets, and tags only!

Sorry you don't get the luggage tags! They do make you feel better when you have them, if only for a short time!

I'll try not to rub it in (too much) that we are leaving soon (15 days). I'd be sad for you if I could, that is just not possible at the moment. Just think of how much fun you will be having while we are here in our normal lives!

Don't you deride me enough at home? Now you have to come here and do it! It's bad enough you stole my man pants, now your after my dignity!

You did forget to mention that we were also the "Family of the Day" at Epcot that day! We got to ride a driveable Test Track car from the queing area to Test Track and be the first to ride it for the day. We were given the picture from the ride. We were then taken to Mission Space and were walked onto the ride with no waiting, AT ALL. And then we were given a special fastpass to ride Soarin'. It was a great day! Elemusing's BFF was supposed to meet us in the morning with her family and they were running late. By the time they arrived we had already done all of the above and were waiting for them!

Aaahhhh, I'll never forget that day!

Now for choosing a fanny pack for the day. We can go with:

A) The Fanny Pack I bought on clearance last year at the Mission Space gift shop for $5.00....

Or

B) The Mickey Mouse fanny pack that I bought at Downtown Disney in 2003.

Oh, you need to see both together?

Plus, don't forget that I will have my PURPLE backpack!

I've had this backpack since my first year in college in 1988! This backpack goes with me EVERYWHERE!

And an obligatory shot of Baby, Queen of the House!

Yes, I stack towels in my van so that she can see outside without having to stand. She is spoiled that way! Gotta go where Daddy goes!

As elemusing said, we may have a hole in one of our bags so it may be time to add another! Explanation and pictures coming soon!
