I just have to say I LOVE Dr. G. She is so poised and to the point, a real life Scarpetta. This is all so heartbreaking and to watch the Sheriff cry on TV just goes to show that she was cared about.. just not by the right people/person.

RIP little Caylee! Justice will be brought!

She is great, Ms. Preshi. Whenever she presented murder evidence to us @ grand jury it was always done in a caring, but way insightful manner.

I have tears in my eyes after reading this. I am a mother to a young daughter and I cannot even imagine something like this happening to her. I feel so bad for that sweet, baby and hope she wasnt scared. And I feel just awful for the grandparents, too. This is all just so sad.

I've had my own not so nice theories about Lee and this whole situation for quite some time. I have a feeling we are going to be hearing A LOT more bombshells on NG in the days and weeks to come concerning Lee.



The only positive thing to come from the remains being positively identified today is that this little angel will finally be properly put to rest. My heart breaks at the thought of what she may have gone through. I keep looking at my DS and wondering how any mother could do this.

He said it was so the media would back off his coworkers. I personally have read on several blogs that either this worker or that worker is the one who made the call. Kronk's name was never mentioned.

There is much speculation out there about Caylee's father. Some think it is Lee (Casey's brother) but other theories are that trying to find Caylee's father would be like a bad episode of Maury where Casey could name a dozen men she slept with and none of them are the father. She may have had a one nite stand with some guy who doesn't have a clue this child exists.

I have a feeling this is just one of the mysteries that will never be solved. My opinion has always been that if there WAS a biological father out there that Casey would nail him for child support or if the bio father was actually dead as Casey claimed then she would have filed for Social Security for Caylee. This is "easy" money for Casey who apparently had no source of verifiable income so why would she not name the father and pursue some sort of money from him if she truly knew who the father was?

Yes, Lee refused to give either a blood sample and a DNA sample and had to be subpoenaed to do so. After the announcement that the remains were Caylee today, Lee hired an attorney.

Also wanted to add that the Medical Examiner said that Caylee's remains were identified by Nuclear DNA.

According to the state department's website (http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1337.html) Nuclear DNA is defined as this:

Nuclear DNA Testing: Within the cell nucleus, there is nuclear DNA. The nuclear DNA contains sequences which make up what is called chromosomes. One half of the nuclear DNA is inherited from the mother and the other half is inherited from the father. Nuclear DNA parentage testing provides an alternative to more conventional parentage blood testing methods. One factor which makes nuclear DNA testing useful in international cases is that the DNA tests do not require the use of live blood samples. This makes it possible to ship the samples from extreme distances. A number of laboratories claim to have an expertise in conducting DNA testing. Currently, the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) is expanding its parentage testing certification and inspection program. This program includes standards and procedures for DNA testing as well as the more traditional parentage blood testing procedures.
