This is completely different that what other news stations are reporting.

"ORLANDO, Fla. -- New FBI DNA results in the case of a missing Orlando girl indicate the girl is most likely dead.

Hair samples found in the trunk of Casey Anthony's car are definitely that of her daughter, Caylee, and the hair samples do show signs of decomposition, Local 6 confirmed Thursday."

I was going to post the same thing. How can one show (Nancy Grace---where the heck is she anyway) report it probably is her hair and another report the tests aren't conclusive enough to say it isn't.

I get more and more worried that the police just don't have enough evidence to convict her. Why else would she be allowed to STILL be out of jail???

That's what CNN is saying too, although they are saying it "could" be Casey's hair. But why would Casey's hair show signs of decomposition?

6 has been reporting that since yesterday and I think they are inferring. WESH (2) and WFVT (9) are reporting what the article said and what the sheriff said in the news conference. They didn't get the preliminary DNA back until late last night and that what they got didn't conclusively prove that Caylee was the dead body in the trunk.

Can't they get more samples from the trunk, or has I imagine it been cleaned so well by now it would be impossible to get a sample. :sad2:

I didnt see that on Local6 yesterday.

Lets face it though... the air samples came back positive for decomposing body.... who else would it be? Definetly aint pizza!!

i would love to be a fly on the wall in the Anthony house tonight.

Where is Casey's brother Lee? He was out talking for awhile early on, but I haven't even seen him in days, not walking into the house or anything. I don't think he ever believed Casey's lies, even in the beginning and I still think he is someone who could make Casey talk.

Where is Lee?

I totally agree. I would love to hear from Lee and Grandpa George at this point.

They were saying the hair will decompose after a certain period of time, whether or not the person is still living, so I'm confused. I guess my hair that is always falling out in my car could show decomp. also after a certain period of time.

I guess that makes sense. But how long does that take? This whole thing just gets me scratching my head. (no pun intended)

I need to go back and read those documents to see how long the car was next to that dumpster. I know someone reported it there and was told to wait a certain number of days and then call back. I think it was in the #1 set. I also wonder what else Dad found in that bag that he threw in the garbage at the tow lot?

I was thinking the same thing too - it would not be unusual to find skeletal remains with the hair still intact.

Perhaps they have found a new way to measure the decomposition rate of hair? It obviously must decompose at a way slower rate than the rest of the body but still be measurable somehow?

The channel I just fliiped to says that the mom's bail is being revoked and she is going back Saturday. Apparently she has meetings with her attorney between now and then. They are saying she is going back becuase of the threats to her and others. The bail guy said one of his guys accidently hit a camera man trying to back out of the drive.
I was so hoping for her to have been taken by someone that actually cared for her. ( I know not right, but better then loser mom!! Kids that get stuck being raised by parents like her seldom have a chance!)

It was on the website not the TV. I'll see if I can find it again.

Unless I missed something yesterday. I'm very confused about the DNA. I know they got the smell test back yesterday, which was positive for human decomposition. And they tested the hair which was Caylee's and showed signs of decomposition.

So what were the tests they announced today. The sheriff specifically said that it was still an open missing person's case and a reporter asked him if Caylee was 'missing and presumed dead' and he said no, they didn't have conclusive proof that she was dead so it was still an active missing persons case.

Maybe the police are just being coy??? Throwing out a little semantics play, because they don't have a body it isn't 'conclusive proof?'

I believe the body was Caylee's and I'm sure the police belive that too, they just need it to hold up in court.

Has the DNA from the fluid in the car come back yet? Maybe that is what they announced today (not that they told us anything) and the first tests weren't 100%?

I really, really hope this is true (that Casey is going back Saturday).

However, I researched and I do not think that the bond can be revoked unless they can prove that there is a chance that the bondee might try to flee. :confused3 And I have not seen any evidence of that as yet. :guilty:

I haven't seen anything online in FL documents but I've seen Utah, Idaho, and MN laws that allow for Bail Bond revocation without cause. I think there was something about it on a CA bail bond site too. If you google "Bail Bond revocation without cause" they should show up.

The news here (WESH or WFTV) here said that is pretty uncommon but not difficult. I guess the guy who actually put up the money in FL has to be the one to arrest her and bring her back in. That is some guy in Clearwater. The nephew put up the money but I guess legally they needed someone in FL to put up the actual bond. I also think he forfits the money if he revokes the bond. Not sure how that works

Here is the blow-by-blow blog on WESH about the latest developments.

I do believe LE is being coy, BUT (always a caveat eh), since they can't prove Caylee is dead right now (or at least aren't showing their whole hand - which shouldn't shock anyone), they'll play along with the charade.

I find it amazing that the results aren't back yet. I'd bet my last dollar that they're ALL back and we're only going to hear about 1 at a time. Ultimately, the goal is to bring closure for the little girl. If that means Casey doesn't get death, I bet they're okay with that. I don't believe for a minute that Casey will walk, though.

Yesterday, it's my understanding that the air samples came back positive for human decomp.

Today, the actual hair samples came back proving the strands of hair belong to Caylee, or Casey. If they had the root, they'd have nuclear DNA and that type of DNA can say exactly who the hair belonged to (with exceptions I believe for identical twins). If the root is not attached however, they would be talking about mitochondrial DNA. Since Casey is Caylee's bio mom, it could belong to either.

Thus, if they don't have the root, they will NEVER be able to conclusively state that the hair belongs to Caylee. Of course, baby hair and adult hair have different consistencies, and who knows, maybe Casey has dyed her hair, whereas Caylee's probably was never dyed, and length could also come into play. So while DNA testing can't conclusively say it's Caylee's, common sense can.

Add on top that they also found decomp on the hair/hairs, and well, if there is no root, there should be no decomp from Casey, should there?

They can also test the hairs further and try to determine if the hairs came from a live person or a dead person. They may or may not be lucky with that testing though, but it's an avenue I am sure they will explore.

We need to also remember that this was only preliminary testing on the hairs from what I understood when I heard the reports.

Personally, I don't know much about that, but I'd be the BH and his nephew know the laws on this better than most, considering it is what they do for a living. I guess I'll take them at their word for now. I'm not saying I'm a fan, I'm just saying, if what they were saying wasn't true, wouldn't they have been called on that by now?

Cindy sure seems to think Casey's not going anywhere though.

I don't think the money is revoked. The only time that happens is when the defendant doesn't show up for a court appearance. The bondsman then has something like 30 to 90 days (I forget what was said about Florida) to get the defendant back.

The way I understand it, Leonard Padilla is the only person who put up any money at all. He put up $50,000 (10% of the half million). The uncle secured the rest, but didn't actually have to come up with any actual money.

BTW, the actual bail was, $500,200 (LOL there were smaller charges), so my above figures don't reflect the $200.

Leonard Padilla insists that he loses his 50 grand and that his uncle will keep it. That was his fee for securing the rest of the bond. I don't know if I believe that or not, but that's the story.

Normally, that is where a bail bondsman makes his money. The family normally comes up with the 10% and when it's returned, it's returned to the bondman as his commission for backing the rest of the bond (normally a secured loan and it's all done on a signature - the courts know it's a sure bet and the bondman is good for the money if need be).

Natalee Holloway's mom will be searching for Caylee:

A nationally-known search company is in Orange County to search for Caylee Anthony. EquuSearch has also assisted in the search for missing teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba. Holloway's mother will also be in town, as she's scheduled to arrive on Saturday.

The search and recovery team is on its way from Texas to join the investigation. It's a group primarily involved in recovering bodies rather than finding people alive.

Cindy Anthony arrived at the Orange County Sheriff's Office around 3:00pm Thursday in the company of Tim Miller, who heads up EquuSearch. The group says it was Cindy Anthony who called them and asked for help to find her missing granddaughter Caylee.

On its website, the group calls itself a "mounted search, rescue, and recovery team." The site also includes a brief narrative of the Caylee Anthony case along with a photo and states that EquuSearch was called to Central Florida by the Anthonys.

Tim Miller's assistants in Texas said Beth Holloway of Alabama will arrive in Orlando on Saturday to join the search for Caylee. She's the mother of teenager Natalee Holloway, who disappeared in May 2005 while on vacation in Aruba.

Cindy Anthony and Tim Miller left the sheriff's office around 4:00pm. They were inside an hour and would not come near reporters on their way out.

EquuSearch says it has a 25-member team on the road. They're coming in a mobile command center, basically a big RV hauling ATVs. They are expected to arrive in Central Florida on Friday.

I thought I saw on Nancy Grace, that the hair samples showed "decomposition" and were Caylees. Was I dreaming?!
