In case you forget why everyone cares so much about this case, just watch this tribute to Caylee (be sure to have a tissue handy)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoNN2ndl85A

:guilty:

Lots of tissue. That is just heartbreaking. :sad1:

Ok, first of all, I wish they would quit ranting and raving about how Casey talked about putting Caylee up for adoption (when she was pregnant) there isn't anything wrong with adoption and if she had done that, beautiful little Caylee wouldn't be missing today.

Second, if Cindy was supposedly really the one caring for Caylee, WHY was Casey dragging that poor little girl around to parties and all night poker games??? Why didn't Cindy put her foot down months ago? Don't you wonder where your grandchild is at 2am if she lives in your home?

And did you see what Casey had on her My Space page on July 7th about
a week before Caylee disappeared? It said......

"What is given can be taken away. Everyone lies. Everyone dies.
Life will never be easy."

I hope she gets the death penalty.

If you still have trouble, here's a different link to the docs:

To get you started (also from WS), here's Olive's version of notes of the docs:

TP (Tony Padilla) said essentially that nothing in the documents was new and they knew what they were getting into (on his thread last night after all of this)

LP has said today if he knew this in advance (and while it was huge, filled in holes, added details, etc, on some levels, it was A LOT of confirmation of things we knew 'skeleton' info about) that he'd have NOT let her out and she's "too busy with herself" to help.

Casey had a relationship with a LE (law enforcement) guy who's a friend of JG and the LE guy was confronted (once early on and once this past Sunday after forensics on her computer came back) about the extent of his relationship with her and she denied it was sexual. The LE guy was NOT involved in the case (*note we now know it was sexual and he has been fired).

Per Amy, Casey was "with" (sexually) both Ricardo and TonE (and when Ricardo found out that it more or less put a halt to the "old" group hanging out much with Casey and Tony, until he was out of town and she sort of "crawled back") That also means, her relationship with the LE guy was in the same window, so she was with TonE, Tony the LE, and Ricardo all at least at the end of May into early June.

I found the friend statements very interesting. Essentially all began with them telling what they knew, answering questions, etc., About 2/3s of the way through each interview each started almost seeming lost as to how to answer, b/c it was like unconsciously they were having to couch each answer with "Well, now we know that's a lie" or "I guess that's not true anymore" before ending with "I don't even know what to think" or "Everything she said seems to have been lies."

Nearly all friends believe that CA's issues with her dad stem from him cheating on Cindy online for several years, as well as his $ issues. Cindy denied it to several friends, but not all, and one she didn't is Casey's oldest friend Ryan (part 3) and he seemed to think it actually is true.

Ryan was going to go to jail to visit because he knows her well and thought he could get stuff out of her, but that was prior to Casey saying only family so it seems that was why he didn't. Ryan believes she needs "the fear of God put in her" to crack (thinking he's not thrilled she's out) Cindy told Ryan earlier in the month (so I'm assuming NOT in the day or two prior to the arrest when she was getting to the other friends) that Casey was essentially a sociopath.

Ryan, when asked what he thought happened, more or less said that he's afraid to think about it because most everything he's come up with makes him think that Cindy may be involved also (not sure if that was directly in coverup). He seemed to question either what Cindy had told him or her truthfulness as well.

Ricardo and Casey and Caylee stayed together at his house (and all in his bed) about 3-4 nights a week when they dated. She was way into him quickly and he was never as into her and more or less they mutually decided it wasn't "going anywhere" and so it ended mainly friendly.

Amy said that yes things "ended" but then Casey was still sleeping with Ricardo and the group had that fallen out I referenced because Casey had pulled away from the group and was only with Tony and then they all discovered she was sleeping with both at once. Amy said Casey was quick tempered but not violent really, but very easily ticked off. There was more about Casey stealing the money before the trip and while gone.

Cindy called Amy right after she got to PR after finding her # in the car and she went to the mall and basically Amy helped ambush Casey at Tony's house.

Casey admitted in her handwritten statement that she stole from family and friends, though she says it was to find Caylee.

At least two mentioned Casey is DEFINITELY a talker and you sort of can't shut her up. Mentioned by several that she drinks (a lot) and does pot, though no one's sure if she does much else. She's very happy when on pot and also rather giggly. doesn't seem to really get falling down drunk often from what they said

Two friends mentiond Caylee being very social and very friendly and very flirty (all things Cindy said on air early on as well)

Casey was in touch with a Marine in CA who she told she wanted to come visit soon (this was mid July before it all went down) to tell him something, and several friends were told that Caylee's dad was from a one-night stand possibly with a Marine (the one identified was Mark Hawkins I think). Speculation she was wanting Cindy to "give her one more day" because she was planning to come to CA.

Tony and Ricardo both stated Casey fell hard and fast and wanted to progress things quickly and both seemed a little puzzled by that. Tony said he tried to basically back things off and she was always doing such nice things and cooking and cleaning, it sort of seemed like he liked the "maid with benefits" but had definitely been questioning how she fell so hard and was so clingy and always with him. He also questioned her about Caylee and thought sometimes it was weird she hadn't seen Caylee for so long.

On the night this all broke on the 15th, he confronted Casey (I believe on the phone) about all her lies, stealing from Amy (he found Amy's checkbook at his house in Casey's thing) and everything and she was NOT happy about that...it seems that may be why she wanted to call him from jail.

Her tattoo friends were told that she was supposed to go to PR with the gang but couldn't b/c of $. None of the friends mentioned that (so it seems that was never a possibility) and her excuse for using Amy's car the day she went there on the way to the airport was that her car wouldn't hold all the people and luggage...only Amy's didn't either and Casey only picked Amy up and then Amy went back to get JP and Ricardo...so that was another lie. The tattoo was July 2 or 3 and she had another appointment I think it was the 16th or 18th.

There was this girl Kiomarie (Kio) and she's Hispanic and she's another school friend of Casey. She wanted to adopt Caylee when Casey was pregnant b/c Casey didn't want the baby. (*LOTS of speculation going on the WS board right now about this person)

Cindy wouldn't let her adopt (nor would she let Casey get an abortion from what Ryan said, essentially they were very conservative and didn't believe in that sort of thing). Kio also said that she was never allowed at Casey's house IF Cindy was there b/c Cindy didn't like Spanish people (the words used) and that it was ok with George, and then also that it was known around "everywhere" that Cindy didn't like people of other ethnicities (though seemed primarily targeted towards Hispanics) and it seemed to tick Cindy off that Casey nearly always dated "others" or something to that effect.

There was a whole weird thing where Kio has 2 friends named Casey, both with young girls, and Kios' first statement she said Casey wanted to borrow money on July 9th and that she heard cartoons and the girl in the background saying momma momma and mom saying be quiet I'm on the phone. Then she realized it was the other Casey and corrected her statement (the other Casey was in an abusive relationship and needed the money to leave and Kio remembered it was the other one when she later spoke to that Casey) (*Hmmmmm)

Cindy and George went to go get the car on the morning of the 15th. Cindy was angry and more or less like a kid having a tantrum about the price and wanting a discount yada yada. George didn't have cash so they were going to have to come back.

They left and he picked up the car several hours later. One tow lot employee overheard him say something to the effect of his daughter wouldn't let him see his granddaughter, and the tow guy who went to the car with him was told something to the effect of his daughter HAD been missing but now his granddaughter was missing.

THEN they get to the car, and open it and tow guy says it smells horrible, like a car he had where a guy committed suicide in it and was dead for a week. Met with TOTAL silence from George.

THEN they open the trunk and flies come out and there's a bag of trash with some pizza and some maggots, etc. The bag is thrown over the fence AT THE TOW YARD by the tow guy BUT it WAS collected into evidence from there (so NOT at the Anthony home like G/C claimed earlier).

They try to start the car and discover it has no gas. George says, oh, I have gas in my car (The only time we hear of the car being out of gas is from Casey's statement that it was pushed into the lot because it was out of gas. He puts in gas and leaves.

The car was in the Amscot lot perhaps as early as late on the 26th as it was there at 7 am on the 27th and it was perfectly parked in a spot on the side CLOSEST to the dumpster. (perhaps to disguise the smell from the car)

We find out there were a belt, the boots, a few of Caylee's toys, backpack, doll, toothbrush, some clothes, and "a dinner knife" many wondered what that is as typically it's a "butter knife" or a "steak knife"... In any case, we find out that Cindy REMOVES the knife and it is washed when given to LE.

Lee's testimony that when he comes the car is in the garage conflicts with LE who say it was put on the street and was there when they arrived.

We also learn that George and Cindy had a lawyer from the start who was there at least the day after the arrest when LE came back to search the yard. When they did so, George told the detective that they HAD ALREADY searched the yard, and that they looked in the sheds, lifted up the pavers, lifted up the playhouse, etc.

LE noticed a suspicious indention by the pool.

The neighbor stated that Casey backed the car into the garage ON THE DAY she borrowed the shovel (there were questions about that) and that that was indeed unusual. He also stated that she said she needed to borrow it because "there was a piece of bamboo she kept tripping over".

We find out that George didn't answer at least one call from Cindy on the evening of the 15th, nor does he return the first time she asks him to, and twice he tries to send Lee to go to her.

We know that from late the 15th to mid-16th that Casey removed over 200 photos and almost 4 months worth of messages from her myspace and facebook (per JG I think it was) And we know that most everyone that knew her got a text message or middle of the night phone call or missed call telling them essentialy Caylee was missing for 32 days, etc.

Cindy was doing a lot of contacting folks telling them Casey was a liar, etc.

It was basically proved that none of the work people Casey made up were true and there were more fake emails from non-people and non-jobs, and lots of emails between LE and Kodak/Universal/colleges/etc. that basically showed virtually no one mentioned is real.

Lee sent an email after the one family visit when Casey was first in jail essentially telling the detective what she told them and Lee claims to have talked to a work friend who verified working with some of the fake people...so either Lee is lying or fake girl is lying...b/c none of those people exist. The forged emails she made from the non-job also seem to be what initially tipped people off to Tony the LE guy she was with b/c his email address (a yahoo one I think) was in the cc: area of one of those emails.

Jeff Hopkins, the guy who supposedly introduced her to ZG (who she claims to have known for years yet the one time Cindy mentions her to George on the 911 call she calls her "that Nanny lady Zanny" or something like that, NOT just "Zanny" or something familiar if you'd heard of her before...Amy said she basically thought Casey made up the name Zanny b/c who could take that seriously? Zanny the Nanny?) only Jeff doesn't spend time with her, has never had a nanny (and apparently doesn't even have kids!). And Casey called his folks abut 3 am on the 16th asking for him (though they didn't answer) and they have no clue who he is.

LE did not want to release these records, but had to b/c they were requested by the paper and needed to under Florida's Sunshine Law. But they are ONLY the papers tied to these first charges and NOT for anything deeper (like murder, etc.) and thus are NOT complete (why we don't have long testimonies from the family...there is VERY little from Lee at all... and nothing from people like JP, and minimal from JG)

JB wanted these not released and went to the judge, who denied the request (obviously)

I also think it's a good idea to make notes of what jumps out at you when you read all the docs too (for example, I've looked at the Ryan interview so far and Olive doesn't mention in her notes that Casey also lied numerous times to Cindy about working at the local Sports Authority store with Ryan). When you read through the 400 pages, please post anything that you notice in the docs - sometimes something will strike you when others glide right over it and maybe it would make all the difference. :surfweb:

don't know if this was posted already or not....

(Aug. 26) - Casey Anthony tried to give her missing 3-year-old daughter up for adoption before she was born, but her mother wouldn't let her, according to legal documents that paint the 22-year-old Florida woman as a perplexed, scheming and unbalanced person who repeatedly defended obvious lies in police reports.
The 400 pages released by prosecutors this week leave little hope that Caylee Marie Anthony will be found safe. Anthony says her daughter has been missing since June 9, but she didn't report it until more than a month later. She faces charges of child neglect, obstruction and making false statements.
Questions Swirl Over Missing TotReinhold Matay, APCasey Anthony wanted to give up her daughter for adoption before the girl was born, but her mother wouldn't let her, according to documents released by prosecutors. Police consider Anthony a "person of interest" in the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee, which is beginning to look like a homicide.

The documents include a poem Anthony wrote on July 7, eight days before she reported her daughter missing: "What is given, Can be taken away. Everyone lies. Everyone dies."
Prosecutors have called her a person of interest in what is appearing to be a murder case. She was freed last week on $500,000 bail and is on home confinement awaiting trial. Despite searches using divers and cadaver dogs, police have been unable to locate the Orlando girl.
The documents show a pregnant Casey Anthony, who gave birth to Caylee when she was 19, considered offering the child for adoption.
Kiomare Torres Cruz, Casey Anthony's friend from middle school through high school, said she once offered to take and care for Caylee because doctors told her she couldn't have kids of her own. But Cruz said Cindy Anthony wouldn't have it.
"I said ... 'I'm strongly considering adopting the baby from you.' (Casey Anthony) said, 'That's a good idea,'" Cruz said in a police transcript. "But then she called me back saying that her mom pretty much has told her that no, she needs to keep the baby and that she's not giving it up for adoption. Even though she really did not want to have the baby."
Caylee's father died in a car crash a year after she was born and he never knew his daughter, Anthony's family has said.
Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, had no comment on what the documents said, but did try to prevent them from being released.
Casey Anthony says she was frightened and did all she could to find Caylee herself for a month before her mother persuaded her to tell authorities.
"I have spent every day since Monday, June 9, 2008, looking for my daughter," Casey Anthony wrote in a sworn affidavit signed July 16, the day of her arrest. "I have lied and stolen from friends and family to do whatever I could by any means to find my daughter. I avoided calling the police or even notifying my family out of fear. I have been, and still am, afraid of what has or may happen to Caylee."
Anthony told police repeatedly that she left the child with her baby sitter of roughly two years, then couldn't find them when she returned from work at an Orlando theme park. However, no one had lived at that address in months, Anthony had no job and no woman by the baby sitter's alleged name ever knew the mother and daughter, detectives say.
The documents detail at length the mistrust Anthony's friends and family — particularly her mother, a recent fixture on TV talk shows — seemed to have of the woman.
Cindy Anthony first wanted her daughter arrested for allegedly disappearing with money and a family car for a month during which Caylee's whereabouts are now uncertain. She told a 911 dispatcher that the car, which had been towed after being abandoned at a check-cashing business, smelled like someone had died in it. A man at the tow yard told detectives the same thing.
Casey Anthony admitted misleading investigators, according to a transcript of her lengthy interview with police, but repeatedly insisted she had done nothing to the girl.
Anthony insisted she was terrified not knowing where the girl was, though she didn't show any emotion, the documents say.
"If I really wanted to just get rid of her I would've left her with my parents and I would've left," she said, according to the transcript. "I would've moved out. I would've given my mom custody."

A knife in the car?! This just gets worse and worse. Poor little Caylee, and I now do believe she has passed :(

Ok, first of all, I wish they would quit ranting and raving about how Casey talked about putting Caylee up for adoption (when she was pregnant) there isn't anything wrong with adoption and if she had done that, beautiful little Caylee wouldn't be missing today.

I totally agree. It is very natural for a pregnant teenager to consider giving her baby up for adoption to offer the child a chance at a better life. I wish the media would give that a rest.

Lots of great info in this thread. Thanks! :)

no kidding

I agree 100% :thumbsup2

They just broke into regular tv programing to say that the test results shows that the testing in the trunk of the car has been verified to be human remains. They haven't said it was DNA from Caylee though just that it was human decomposition. There is evidence that there was a dead body in the trunk.

The bondsman now says he doesn't believe Casey Anthony anymore and that he now thinks she is a pathological liar.

My jaw dropped even though it is what I suspected. Time to tell the truth, Casey.

That poor baby. :sad1:

Denae

:sad2:

OMG.. not that we didnt see that coming, but its still shocking. I really want to know George and Cindys reaction.
Cant wait for Nancy Grace tonight!

Cindy Anthony is inside the lawyers office, for the last couple of hours, along with law enforcement that are meeting with her.

The news media is swarming around the bounty hunter Leonard Padilla who is saying that he never should have put up the bond money. (what an idiot)

Nancy Grace is gonna be SO good tonight!!!
Greta won't be on cause of that Democratic Convention.

We all expected that but was hoping that we was wrong. Come on Casey....... Time is up. Face the music.

Cindy Anthony is inside the lawyers office, for the last couple of hours, along with law enforcement that are meeting with her.

The news media is swarming around the bounty hunter Leonard Padilla who is saying that he never should have put up the bond money. (what an idiot)

Nancy hasn't been there in a while. I wonder if she will be back tonight.

My heart just sank reading this. I pray this isn't Cailee's DNA. That poor baby girl. Casey is such a dirtbag.

Oh no that poor baby.I know we were all expecting it-but to not have it verified made us live in hope.x.

I wanted to also add that there is a deal available to Casey till tomorrow for limited immunity
