Please list your AKV room number!

you were right, my DD and I tried to get it right based on resort map, but we could not remember exact #, there are two entries to GV, one into foyer and main living room, the other between the two bedrooms to the right, but I do not think it lists a separate # for the room at the second entrance. We will be back down there in hopefully the same room (per our request) in 14 days, and I will find out if the second entrance has a different number listed.

thanks
bob

Perfect!! THANK YOU!

I found my 0.4911% portion! I have a savannah view in a beautiful 2-bedroom villa!! Now, I hope they get my 1x1 inch piece of carpet in there soon! No wait, I want a piece of the balcony so I can always see the animals!

You're welcome! :thumbsup2

I would go for the balcony! :rotfl2:

Actually faced Arusha but at the area where Arusha and Uzima meet
GREAT location for animals but FARRRRR from pool and lobby
I wasn't sure exactly how far the Arusha savanna extended around the top end of the horseshoe so this is very helpful. Thanks! This sounds like a good spot!

I have two other reports for this GV that state the room number is 5593. But I see on the floor plan that there are two doors into the GV. Were there different numbers on these doors, one 5593 and the other 5596? Thanks.

There are two entrances into the GV. I don't recall seeing a number on the other door. The large two door entrance into the GV was 5593.

LisaS,
Just wanted to commend you on your work so far. Seems like it will be a real help in the future for room request/layouts and such.
We have not stayed in the AKV's yet but have a ressie for a 1BR sav. view for March 2009. With the moving of animals off of one savannah your work will come in handy.
Thanks again and I will keep a both eyes on this thread.
:thumbsup2

Thanks to all of you who have contributed room number information! I have almost all of the Jambo House rooms figured out at this point. There are just a few rooms where I don't know which room number to assign. If anyone can help figure these out, that would be great!

Room 5012: I have a room report stating that this room is a 1BR. The floor plan shows it as a studio. If anyone has stayed in room 5012 who has not already given me a report on the room, I need another report to break the tie!

Even-numbered rooms between 5316 and 5331: I need to know the room numbers for the first and last rooms on the even-numbered side of the hallway for the building segment that contains rooms 5316-5331. These rooms are on the Kudu Trail just before the last spur. The even-numbered rooms are on the left as you walk from the lobby. If anyone is staying at AKV and can jot down the first and last even-numbered room numbers, that would be very helpful!

Comments about other rooms are still welcome! Much of the information in the room database has come from floor plans so actual reports about the view or anything unusual about the room are very helpful.

Thanks!

We had a 2BR Concierge room L/O w/Savannah View
Room 6205 - 1 bdr villa
Room 6206 - studio villa
Both rooms are non-HA

Hey! DH and I were in the studio portion of 6206 -- we loved it!

You may remember that the reason I asked for AKV room numbers is that I wanted to make a map of the rooms in Jambo House. The first step was to use the data everyone provided plus the floor plans to fill in the missing data and create a Jambo House Room Database.

The second step was to create the map. Unfortunately I have had too many other things going on and though I did get started on this, it's still not finished. But the good news is, someone else has done it!! DisZip (creator of the BCV room map that I was using as a model) has created a Jambo House map and it's beautiful! See this thread for more info: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2001429

It is at the "end" of a section...another villa's balcony was at a 90-degree angle to ours (to the left, as you faced the savanna)

Not sure if anyone's reported on rooms 5412 and 5414.
This is a 2-bedroom lockoff, standard view.
5414 is a handicap room with no island in the kitchen. It has the large sliding doors to the vanity and bathroom. It has the jetted tub shower combination with several safety bars.
There is an armoir in the bedroom with a closet in the vanity area of the bathroom.
5414 has a double balcony and 5412 has a single balcony. Although both rooms have views of the roof they also have a lovely view of the pool.

I have a balcony view from standard studio #5412

We stayed in a 1 x bed villa on the 5th floor - room 5550 on the Zebra Trail overlooking the Uzima savannah.
We stayed 3 x nights in December and had a fantastic time.
We really have fallen in love with Animal Kingdom Lodge and would stay again in a heartbeat.

At first we were a little disapointed with the view as we would have liked to be on the Arusha but to be honest - we had at least 3 x giraffe every day and other assorted creatures to gaze at.

There is a people pen outside the room but we never saw any people!
This is the whole perspective from the balcony.....
