Beaches and Cream is at Beach Club. The Boardwalk is across the lagoon but easy walking. We walk around the lagoon all the time. The resorts are from the left, coming out the International Gateway, Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club and then Beach Club. I'm a fast walker and it takes maybe 15-20 minutes to walk the entire loop.

Yes, Jellyrolls does allow smoking. I've heard it depends on what night you go as to how bad it is. If you go on nights where Cast Members are there (I think that's Tuesdays), that's the worst. Most of the touristy nights aren't as bad. And I'm not suggesting we go there as it does have a separate cover charge that perhaps not everyone would want to pay; I was just saying that we always say we are going there and never do. It's just permanently on our to-do list.

And walking out the International Gateway after Illuminations and catching a bus to DTD to change is sooooo much faster than going to the front of Epcot and waiting for 3 buses before there's room in order to get back to the resorts. We always do that when we stay at SSR.

Oh and Beaches and Cream is open until after Illuminations, at least in the warmer months, not sure about December, but it's usually super dooper packed. But we could go out there after we eat dinner in Japan and then return to Epcot. Of course, if we get lucky and snag a Thursday night Illuminations cruise, we could always leave a little before Illuminations on Saturday and beat the crowd.

You know, I really do talk too much.

Monica, if you would get those crocs, you would know it's near impossible to skip in those things. I tried it down the hall at Beach Club during our Jan trip and almost went down like Seabiscuit.

Wait, did we discuss whether or not it's going to be okay to wear crocs on this trip? That might be my deal breaker.

Crocs are allowed! I'd probably be touring alone if we said "No Crocs!" How are they supposed to fit? Are they supposed to be loose on your feet? I'm going to try them on again today.:guilty:

Monica, this is what the website says:

Crocs™ should not fit like other shoes:

* They should fit very loosely.
* The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe.
* Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.
* Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed, you should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.
* In other words the fit should be "loose".

I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under. No Pressure points Ever!

To ensure that the strap is not pulling your foot into the front of the shoe, rotate the strap forward and determine if your foot rests comfortably in the foot bed and there is room all around your foot. If so, you have the proper size but the strap is too short. To alleviate this issue, work your fingers around the strap and stretch it as you go around being careful not to put excessive pressure on the rivet hole. Stretch the strap until it is just short of the back edge of the shoe. The resin material has memory and will stay at the proper length after one or two of these types of adjustments.

I can't vouch for myself, as I have never worn the regular Crocs. My only ones are the Alice style and my foot definitely touches the sides in those. But they are still very comfy. I've never had the guts to try the regular style. Maybe I can be persuaded too. :confused3 We'll see.

Monica, my crocs (which are regulars) do not touch anywhere. However, I do not wear mine with the strap behind my heel. I push the strap forward and wear them like clogs, no back. The strap does push my toes forward into the shoe too much because the strap is too short. I've just been lazy about stretching the strap.

And when you look down at your own feet in them, they don't look as ugly as when you see them on someone else. Your feet will thank you.

Thanks for the Croc info. We'll see....

Hey Sara, don't worry about missing DTD. If we don't get the Illum cruise on Thurs night we can always head back over after dinner. They're open late right?

Do you guys have the phone number to call and reserve a room? I always book online but since I want to try to link to Michelle's reservation, I'll need to call and I don't have the number.

Pakey, I booked online, but I was still able to get linked to Michelle's reservation. Just thought I would add that, but you've probably already done it.

Sara

Well I booked online but didn't see or get an option to link to Michelle's room. So I'm still going to have to call them anyway.

I'm just a computer spaz for sure.

But my room is booked, deposit is paid. Wow what a deal. I got 3 nights for less than what 1 night at BC cost me this past Jan. I'm so excited. Now I'll just be stalking the airfare sites trying to find that great deal.

Kimmy book your room. You are lagging now.
