Of course we could rent a double Disney stroller and take turns riding in it! :rotfl: That would make for an interesting site!
Sara

:rotfl: Wow! Anybody want to take a guess how long it will take before Disney asks us to leave?

Reason #1 why I'm looking forward to this trip: 4 days of using the bathroom without someone banging on the door, yelling for me, and slipping things under the door!:rotfl:

Ya I have that problem too! :rotfl2:

How about just being IN the bathroom alone without a running commentary of what you are doing in there by the toddler inside the stall with you! :rotfl2:

Sara

Question is why when Shawn goes into the bathroom, is he left alone?

I go in and it's like a constant parade! :jumping1:

If I lock the door, it's chatfest 2008! :confused3

I guess men do some things better than us! :rotfl:

Sara

Yes, they are much better at ignoring the kids than we are!

Have any of you shipped anything back from Disney before? I think this is what I'll have to do if I buy too much!

Reason #2 why I'm looking forward to this trip: 4 days of eating my meals in peace!

I have shipped things back before, it's worked great! It's a little expensive, but for the breakables/over flow it's worth it.
A way around it is to back an extra bag in your luggage. This works well for us. On the way down we only check one bag and on the way home we then check 2. Most airlines don't charge you (yet) for a 2nd bag.

I don't know if you will get much peace with this group:lmao: :rolleyes1

Hey Monica! On our trip last November we shipped stuff back because we bought alot of Christmas presents and I bought heavy blankets in Mexico. The charge is based on how much the total of the items is. We had a few hundred dollars in purchases and it cost us $25 to ship home. You take it to the gift shop and they box it and ship it for you. It got home about 4 days after us.

One big benefit about getting things shipped is, if something breaks during shipping, you call them and let them know and they will replace it in no time. Missa shipped a Figment bobblehead (of course) and it was broke in the box, we called and they had a new one out before we even sent back the original.

I thought I read that airlines are charging for the extra bags, and it's more than shipping. Thanks for the info. I knew you would know!:thumbsup2

Yes, but are you going to have me cut up your food and take you to the bathroom every 20 minutes? Well, I guess that depends on how much you've had to drink!

:lmao: Cracking up at your "expensive" mistake!

Hi Laura! Did you wait until the end of your trip, then take everything to the resort gift shop? They have boxes to ship there? Great information. Thank you. I'm definitely doing alot of Christmas shopping while we're there.

Ya that was a typing error I will not be making again! :scared1:

A few airlines are charging, United, Northwest and Continental. Continental starts on May 5th. I'm sure others will follow soon :sad2: Right now I will not be booking Continental because of the policy.

Northwest announced a charge last week for a second bag. Of course - this week Delta and NW merged so :confused3

Monica - the night before we left we took it all to the gift shop. They scanned it all in, took our money and they did the rest. It was all wrapped in bubblewrap in a giant box. Nice and safe!:thumbsup2

Sounds like we will all be doing some Christmas shopping in WDW! :cool1:
Great idea to ship the stuff back - easier than dealing with hauling everything back yourself. :thumbsup2

It'll be easier to get the shopping done on the trip, than trying to schedule in time in December to have free time. Plus it will be better loot!

We have about 6 weeks or so before we can make ADRs. What are everyone's thoughts for numbers? I know that not everyone can commit by then, but if we have a big group we need to make them as soon as we can. Should we make them for the total possible then change as needed? I'm not an expert on the whole ADRs and availability so I don't know. Where are we eating that fills up quick? Japan? Boma?

I say make the ADR with extras just in case. It's not as hard to remove people as it would be to add. Boma and Japan are def ones to make. GF cafe and Kona are not as popular. Missa is having work set backs. She was denied for the vacation, but there is a small possibility that she may still be able to come.

Definitely make them for the maximum amount of people that might be there - much easier to change DOWN then change UP! I used the Group Dining # for all my ADRs for Thanksgiving!

Are we interested in any Grand Gathering type things (I think you have to have 8 total :confused3 )

Yep, it's 8! They drop you like your hot if you call the regular line and have 8 or more.

I don't have my light on cause I have a "friend" here at work that made a comment that I'm ALWAYS on. Whatever...
