Perhaps together, we can get Frances to LEAVE the COAST and go out to sea. It has stopped, and is stationary (spinning) off the coast between Fla/Bahamas. ~We are here in Orlando, and DB/Family are in Melbourne Beach. All your continued prayers are welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

News has just reported over 1.4 million have lost power on the east coast and it is only going to get much worse.

I posted this report in another thread, but then I found this one to post it in.

Just checking in from Northwest Broward County. Things have seemed to calmed down, but the shutters are still up and last night we received minimum hurricane force wind gusts, as well as sustained tropical storm force winds. A tree is down across the street as well as many more in our development. I believe the worst has gone through, although we are still expecting some more nasty weather as Frances passes through the state.

Unfortunately, my grandparents as well as a couple of my aunts and uncles, live in Port St. Lucie in manufactured (mobile) homes, and I don't believe that they will have a home to return to. They all evacuated the area, thank goodness, but I am very concerned about their homes. My grandparents live in Savannah Club in Port St. Lucie, so if anyone has any info about what is going on in regards to damage, please let me know. Thanks for the pixie dust and prayers. It looks as if we will need it for quite awhile.

Fruitcake - I hope everything is ok with your grandparent's home. I know when it comes to mobile homes especially those hit near the center of the storm we would think the worst. I guess you'll have to wait and see. As long as they are ok, that's what is most important.

We live close to you here in Coconut Creek. Those winds were quite scary last night. But, we are SO very lucky. Not only have we had no damage but we've been lucky to have electricity! I know it may still go out but I just keep thinking about all of the time we could have been without it.

I can't imagine being closer to where your grandparents live, but we have been planning to move to the Stuart/Palm City area and of course I'm thankful that we haven't moved there yet but I feel for the people that live up there.

I sure hope all of those in Martin & St Lucie counties are ok. Disney resort guests are obviously getting to spend LOTS of time at their resorts. My dh has lots of business associates in those counties so we will do whatever we can to help.

supposed to leave today... but, nothing's open (not the AP's nor the parks). I wonder if WDW will extend our PAP's for the three days we've "missed" due to these two hurricanes? I'll visit guest services before I leave and check this out! (LOL). I'm just trying to make light of the situation. I cannot reach my DB...his cell must be dead (or he turned it off to conserve the battery in case he needs to make a call). His regular phone line is down.

Thanks again, for all your prayers. I FEEL DB made it through just fine, none the worse for wear, and is hopefully trying to rest in the current "calm" the news is reporting for his area. He has a strong FAITH in God, and believed he could withstand the forces of nature with the help, guidance and protection of our Lord and Savior. On this Blessed Sunday morning, I take time to thank our God for all the lives spared in the path of this destructive force of wind/rain. Amen.

Frances left S. Florida at last! We had some heavy winds and rain; some tree limbs down, but thankfully no damage and we are all ok. My parents in Orlando reported that they are all ok as well.

Shutters will remain up waiting for Ivan... hope it doesn't hit us...
