We have been praying for this hurricane to be turned back out to sea. Jesus rebuked the storm and it calmed. He gave us the power in HIs Name. "The prayers of a righteous man availeth much" (We are righteous only because of His death and ressurection in that He paid the price of our sins. We can truely be thankful because of what He did!

Hope everyone weathers the storm. It sounds like a doozy!

Dear Lord, we know that you are in control of absolutely everything in this world, and that you also hold this storm in your hand. We ask that you turn it back out to sea and diminish any effect it might have on the residents and tourists in Florida, that no one might suffer any loss of life, injury, or loss of property. Knowing that Florida is still reeling from the recent passing of Hurricane Charley, we just beg you that they be spared any more suffering or anxiety. Please give people the wisdom to evacuate and take all reasonable precaution, and put a hedge of protection around everyone down there, Lord. We ask this in your Son's own name, Amen.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and pixie dust! My family and I are all prepared and hunkered down. My parents in Orlando are ready and so are we in South Florida. We are hoping for the best and ready for the worst. Thanks again to all of you wonderful DISers for your best wishes.

We continue to pray unconditionally and God will hear our prayers. It is amazing when more numbers of believers pray and the results can be outstanding! Lift up all those in Florida and surrounding states as they wait...We in the north are waiting and watching as well. Stand strong and trust in Him and His angels for protection from the storm!

My 7 year old is praying as well for all of you in the hurricanes path!

We're here in South Florida hoping it isn't as bad as it could be!! It may spare us with the core here but looking more and more like WDW is gonna get it! Wishing all of our other fellow Floridians good luck with this!!

Thanks for the prayers and thougths! I am in Melbourne, yep near where it is to make landfall. I'll be evacuating the house later to a private shelter (DH is in law enforcement). I am still remaining calm. LOL.
