I just know I will get some great suggestions here!
I made this cake topper set for a bride getting married in May:
She wanted a sweet, simple version of the fondant ears toppers that are available, but something that she could keep and use in her shadow box after the wedding.
She is very happy with how they turned out, but now we are just wondering how they should be placed on top of the cake. Her wedding planner suggested setting them on a round mirror, but I don't think she really likes that idea.
The bride and groom ears are not attached to each other, so they could be arranged any way on top of the cake. They are each just over 2" wide at the base. I believe she is having a three-layer mad hatter cake. Her colors are pink and green with some black and white.
If anyone has any suggestions, that would be wonderful! I am planning on making the rounds this weekend - Michael's, Joann, etc. to see what I come across. But I would much rather go in with an idea of what we could use!
ETA: She doesn't want them permanently attached to any base, since it will be easier to arrange them in the shadow box if they are separate!
