I have found a wonderful design to use on tote bags I am using for an FE gift for our upcoming cruise. I purchased the bags from Oriental Trading and the iron-on transfer paper from Michaels. After I purchased, I read about a better transfer paper from a DISigner here, but it is too late - I have already paid quite a bit in supplies to make my 27 bags!!!
So last night, I finished up my other FE gift and started on this one. And I had a huge problem. THe transfer paper says to hold it on 20 seconds. I first tried doing that moving it around - didn't stick. THen I tried holding it on - didn't stick. Then I realized my hard surface was not going to work - I figured my heavy duty cutting board woulld work but didn't. I let it cool - but probably not completely, and only a little of my transfer even stuck. What a mess!!
I am already out a bunch of money and really need this FE gift to work - has anyone EVER used the Michaels paper?? Do I leave it on LONGER?? Any suggestions at all for what I can do???????
Thanks so much
