Please help with gift ideas!!!

DW and I are traveling to DW in April and staying at WL with a family who is good friends of ours. They have never stayed on property before, and we want to have some nice gifts for them in their room when they arrive. I have had success before with things like cake, strawberries, and resort-themed gifts, like sarongs at Poly and things like that.

The family that we are traveling with consists of parents in their 40's and two daughters (17 and 14).

I'd really appreciate any special gift ideas that you guys might have!

I've used the WDW Florist twice and been very happy. We've gotten 'Mickey's Pirate Pumpkin' and the 'Disney Welcome'.

how about treating your friends to a fancy dinner and sending their kids off to disney quest.

I second Memories by Betsy-we just used her in Sept and she was wonderful! (pictures in my PTR and TR) We'll be using her again in December, as well as when two different families go down before us to make their stays special as well. You can pick up things (Disney or non-Disney), ship them to her and she will include them. She will also do your Disney shopping for you if you want something specific. Another option is giving her a budget and she will make suggestions to stay within that budget.

We've never been to WL so I don't know anything "special" about the resort so I can't help much there-sorry!

Will you be traveling for spring break or another special occasion? Might be another way to tie in a "theme". (I personally do better when I've got a theme to work from!) Maybe one thing in a basket for each person-if they're addicted to pop, a refillable drink mug, if they're interested in hidden Mickeys-a book about that. If you don't think that's enough, you could always include Disney dollars or a Disney gift card.

If you're up for being "crafty", head over to the DISign board and have some DISigns personalized for you and make some t-shirts, pjs, pillow cases, travel journals, etc. Those folks are AMAZING!
