Hi everyone! I need a few suggestions for CS dining on the DDP.
We are going to be staying at the Yacht Club for 3 nights (me and BF), so each of us has 3 CS, 3 snack, and 3 TS credits.
This is my current plan for eating:
Friday dinner: California Grill (2 TS)
Saturday lunch: Flame Tree BBQ (1 CS)
Saturday dinner: ????????
Sunday lunch: Epcot (1 CS)
Sunday dinner: Le Cellier (1 TS)
Monday breakfast before leaving for airport: ????????

I need advice for dinner on Saturday. We are seeing La Nouba at 9 pm, so I think we should eat CS either somewhere at our hotel (Yacht Club) or really nearby our hotel, or else somewhere close by to La Nouba. Any suggestions?
Alternatively I thought maybe we could use the gift certificate/pay OOP for Planet Hollywood on Saturday night, and then use the last CS credit for a meal before we leave for the airport on Monday morning. We're just planning on hanging out at the pool that morning so we'd need somewhere to eat close by to our hotel.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!
I am not really familiar with the layout of Downtown Disney so not sure where La Nouba is located and how far away it is from all the restaurants. Not really familiar with the eating options around Yacht Club hotel either!

My standard recommendation for a CS dinner to save credits for a Signature dining is Cosmic Ray's at MK. However, that won't work on Saturday night for you.

At DTD, one good CS place is Earl of Sandwich. Oddly enough, they serve sandwiches...very good sandwiches. There are surely some other good CS options at DTD, but that is the only one we've tried.

Cirque du Soliel is located at the extreme West end of DTD. There are restaurants scattered throughout DTD, including the West side, and no place in DTD is that far a walk away.

You will love "La Nouba!" I've seen several other Cirque shows, including "O" in Vegas, but I like "La Nouba" better than any of the others I've seen.

I recommend the Sunshine Seasons in The Land at Epcot for variety and great desserts (they have a bakery station). The fish and chips at Yorkshirt Fish Shoppe in England at Epcot is great, too.

Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD delivers one of the best values for a CS credit in all of WDW.

I find WPE to be the best CS on the entire plan. It could work for dinner before La Nouba. But there are two problems. First it's all the way on the other side of DTD from La Nuoba - at least a 15-minute walk. Second, it can be very crowded. You won't be able to just show up, grab a quick bite, then head off to your show. If your plan is to spend several leisurely hours at DTD before the show I'd go for it. But otherwise, I'd skip it.

In fact, everyplace at DTD will be jam packed on a Saturday night. I find tiring to get dinner there to be *very* annoying. (The worst of all being Planet Hollywood - horrible crowds and - as for the food - there is a reason they are giving away certificates.)

My recommendation would be to eat an early lunch on Saturday, then eat a second CS meal at Animal Kingdom before leaving. The three big CS restaurants at DAK are some of the best on the plan. I might switch things around and eat at Pizzafari or Tusker House for lunch, then at Flame Tree for dinner.

In DTD, we also tried Cooke's of Dublin, which is the cs for Raglan Road. It was really good. They have fish, scallops, shrimp and chicken meals that come with chips(British-style fries) and a fried Snicker bar for dessert.

It is on the parking lot side, not far from the 2nd bus stop.

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck Express. You can really get a hot meal for a CS credit. To avoid the later crowds I would get there before 6 to eat, then stroll around Downtown Disney before your show. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Looks like we'll probably try Earl of Sandwich or Cookes of Dublin, unless we get to DTD early and have time for Wolfgang Puck Express.
Any ideas for snacks nearby Yacht Club??

A quick walk over to the Boarwalk Bakery. Good snack options, especially breakfast treat options.

One place we loved, and had never discovered before was the Pinnochio Village Haus in MK. It is directly behind the carousel and Dumbo. They serve personal sized pizzas and salads, which come as a combo and are great! They have Mickey head Rice Krispies dipped in chocolate for dessert - my kids loved these! The best part was getting a seat by the window. You can watch the Small World boats go by and hear the music from inside. We all enjoyed watching the people go by and waving at them!:goodvibes

Another vote for Wolfgang Express....this was probaly the bext CS we had all week, really is a great value...TS type food at a CS price. I could ate lunch here all week if we would have spent more time DT this year.
