Hi,

I'm a dining plan and ADR virgin and I was hoping I could get some recommendations. My family (wife and 2 girls, ages 6 and 4; they are well behaved and love princesses) and I will be going in March and we have the regular dining plan (1 QS, 1 snack, and 1 TS meal). I was wondering if anyone would be willing to suggest to me their favorite 1 TS restaurants at each of the parks (or hotels). Are there any 2 "credit" TS restaurants that are worth it.

Since we are going in 3 months, am I pretty much pressing my luck with ADR's?

Thanks for any recommendations,

Evan

^^^ Hi Evan :wave2: Welcome to the Dis! You came to the right place for answers. Since your daughters love princesses I would recommend the following character breakfasts at each of the parks:

In Epcot, Restaurant Arkeshus Princess Storybook Royal Banquet (1 TS). The princesses they'll see are: Belle; Cinderella; Aurora; Snow White; and finally either Ariel or Jasmine. All the princesses stop by each table (except Belle) for a photo opportunity and autograph signing. Before you get seated you can have your picture taken with Belle. The photo package is included in the price of the meal.

In Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Royal Table (2 TS but well worth it!). It will be more difficult to get an ADR here this late out, but do keep trying every day as people cancel ressies all the time. For breakfast and lunch they'll get to see the above mentioned princesses who will go from table to table. For dinner the characters are Fairy Godmother and Mice (who do a floor show but don't sign autographs or stop at each table). All meals include the photo package with Cinderella. Each child will receive a wand (girls) or a sword (boys).

These are non-princess character meals they might enjoy too:

In Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace (1 TS) with Winnie the Pooh and friends, though I believe they are moving the character meal to Liberty Tree Tavern while Crystal Palace is closed for renovations. Click here for more info. on your travel dates: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining.htm

In Disney's Hollywood Studios your only character dining option right now is Hollywood and Vine (1 TS) with Jojo and Goliath from Jo Jo's Circus.

There is only one character breakfast in Animal Kingdom. Characters are only available during breakfast at Tusker House (1 TS). Characters there: Daisy; Donald; Goofy; Pluto; Mickey. All dressed in their safari outfits. Before you get seated there is a photo opportunity with Donald. This is not included in the price of the meal.

Here are some non-park character meals you might consider too:

Chef Mickeys (1 TS) at the Contemporary Resort (only a short monorail away from MK). Characters there: Mickey; Minnie; Goofy; Pluto; Donald.

Ohana's (1 TS) at the Polynesian Resort (only a short monoral ride away from MK). Characters are only there for breakfast. They are: Lilo; Stitch; Mickey; Donald; Pluto; and Goofy. Dressed in Hawaiian outfits. There is a photo opportunity for your family here as well which is not included in the price of the meal.

1900 Park Fare (1 TS) at the Grand Floridian (only a short monorail ride away from MK). The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast is hosted by Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and friends. The Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner is hosted by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and Anastasia and Drisella.

Cape Mae Cafe (1 TS) at the Beach Club Resort in the Epcot/Hollywood Studios area. Characters there: Minnie; Goofy; Donald; Pluto. Dresses in beach outfits.

Here's a complete list of all the restaurants at WDW:

I think the character meals are great fun with little kids. There are many other fantastic dining options at WDW (non-character) themed meals (typically 1 TS) and signature dining options (2 TS for those).

Happy planning. Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Hi,

Since we are going in 3 months, am I pretty much pressing my luck with ADR's?

Thanks for any recommendations,

Evan

We haven't been yet either. But I did want to tell you that I have moved around my ADRs a lot and we go in the beginning of March. I haven't had a problem with moving them or changing them yet. So you should be okay. Unless it is one of the really hard to get places. Good Luck.
