OK I need your help!

My friend is really struggling with lots of things at the moment- just low motivation and work changes, so I'm planning to put together a pre-orlando hamper to leave for her when she's on a night shift.

What sorts of things make you think of orlando? Now she's not all about disney- i can put a few things in, but any foody items like bagels or cheesecake would be cool *** she eats lots on night shift!

Thanks so much

Oh yes! We still have some we bought back with us! My son has it '*** he doesn't like water; and it transforms it!!
What's that popcorn in maple syrup and nuts called? You can buy it in Morrisons?? That's to die for!
And what about Lays crisps? I've seen them on sale somewhere aswell!

Mountain Dew reminds me of Florida, although I don't know where you can get it over here anymore?

Oh, and little ready made pancakes with syrup!

You guys are brilliant- thanks you so much. Shopping time for me!

Any other ideas please let me know! :grouphug:

Lime stuff. Be it scented stuff like lime candles(yankee has really good lime vanilla ones) or lime flavored stuff like those lil drink powder packs you can put in your water. (Hint walmart has lime and cherry limeade ones that are so good!!)

Hope this helps!!:cool2:

Sweets from Heaven sell it in stores that they have in most UK malls, it's not cheap though!

I bought some reeses peices (infact I have just jad a bag :lmao:) from Aldi the other day, they are yummy.

How about a good guide book or something like that to read on her breaks, the new one by Susan Veness is great to just pick up here and there to read a chapter when you have 5 minutes.

What about Pretzels? I buy them from Asda in family packets and they remind me of Florida. It may sound daft but, we first got hooked on Everybody Loves Raymond when in Florida. We watch it now and it always reminds us of sunnier times. Does your friend have a favourite TV programme from US?

Root Beer, Grape Jelly and Peanut Butter sandwiches mmmmmmmmm!

Calico Cottage fudge delicious and easy to make .. especially the vanilla one.. I swear it's what they use at the Candy Cauldron in DTD ;)
cinnamon buns
belgian waffles and small pots of jams good with thick fresh cream:thumbsup2
strawberries,
cupcakes with lots of "betty crocker" frosting and sprinkles (any colours) the bigger the cupcake the better :thumbsup2
Oreos or big chocolate chip cookies
Mickey gummy sweets but they may be hard to find if you can't get them at your nearest Disney Store.
How about adding a Disney note book or pen (some light up) or keychain they don't cost all that much.

have you got any disney $ lying around
Paulh

Will she be staying at a Disney hotel ? Maybe someone can bring back a mug for her.. or if she has a favourite character get something with that character on maybe some coasters or a set of glasses (don't have to be glass could be like picnic beakers) perhaps an egg timer or something small ....

If you have a Costco membership or can go as someone's guest they have loads of American/American style food :thumbsup2 I got the box of 20 cupcakes they do as my 'birthday cake' and OMG they're amazing, huge with loads of whipped frosting and better than any i've had at WDW for sure! They also do big jars of hard pretzels, bags of red licorice, American instant mash, Ghirardelli brownie mix, sourdough bread, huge chocolate and blueberry muffins and tons more... It's dangerous having a store 10-15 minutes away it really is :rotfl:

For me the smell of Hawaiian Tropic Suncream/Lotion takes me right back - Yankee Sun and Sand candles smell similar and the votives are cheap. I might burn one tonight to "take me back there lol" whilst I'm watching chick flicks! I agree with the cinnamon thing as well, that, Reese's peanut butter cups and Oreo's are my little piece of America in England :thumbsup2!

reeses and oreos do it forme:lovestruc:worship:
fav thing is welchs grape juice....

Red licorice-the good stuff though, not that rank stuff that bassetts put in the "Red licorice allsorts" Blweugh, fruity muck
jelly belly jelly beans-or jelly bean factory ones are easier to get over here.

Why has nearly everything thats been mentioned been sweet? is this all we do on holiday?

BTW, why is the shortened word for "because" seen as naughty in America? It always gets starred out

It's the abbreviation for an 'anti-Dis' forum, I agree that it's annoying though as I tend to use it a lot without thinking and have to go back and edit my posts... That'll teach me for being lazy I guess! :lmao: Anyways, i'll stop veering off-topic now :rolleyes1
