Anyone know if you can use Visa DEBIT cards in the states ?

Anything with the Visa sign should be OK Paul, but I'd check with your issuer just to be 100% sure

Hi Paul

I have a Visa Debit card from Abbey National and I used it everwhere! Until it was refused,very embarrassing but I knew I had funds in there. When I got home I wondered if the difference in entering the month/day had caused it not to be accepted ?

Last time we were there in jan, noticed one or two signs saying only visa credit cards accepted. They were very scarce tho, so you should be ok.
