Please Help Student Council and I am clueless!

Hey all hope you don't mind me asking it is not realted but you guys have been so helpful so here goes. I live in a rural area so not alot of feedback from local folks.

My brave and daring God Blessed DS 10 came home and announced he is running for school council. We had one in High School but I was painfully shy and would never dare imagine doing that.

So no he needs to make a poster evidently alot of children have very fancy ones and I have no idea where to start. I goggle it and came up empty. All I do know is he has a speech he is preparing and will need to have a poster and speech ready for Wednesday thats right in 2 days!!!!!

I do not know the first thing and feel horrible he is asking for my help and I don't know where to start.

Thanks for any direction you can point me in!

Do a bright colored poster, best bet is to print it out as a power point slide. I ran several major campgains on a pretty politically active campus. The bright colored paper with bold print always works.

THanks we got some ideas and put one together it looks very good. He actually came up with some really great slogans , no Disney ones but thats ok!

I don't have any suggestions. I wish my kids were up. They were on student council twice, but they are much braver & smarter than I ever was. They did it all themselves.
Please let us know how he does. One of my ds did not make it this year (they voted for it last year (strange). Just a thought if this should happen to you. Ice cream sundaes help all wounds.

Thank you all for your help and support!!! Ds went off the school well prepared or so we thought....it turns out the girls were not factored in!!! It seems that a total of 12 students ran! How wonderful that so many wanted to be involved!!!

But, there was a something no one counted on.... one of the girls running it seems was telling the girls that if she won she was having a slimber party, a trip to the movies first and then a big party...one smart girl confrimed the prize for the winning vote first and was confirmed by the Mom. Evidently this plot was hatched on the playground its called slumbergate

DS learned though that not winning has merit too, a trip to the ice cream parlor for some Good Job ice cream tastes just as sweet!

Just happened last week to DD. Its sad but it happens. I'm proud she tried and hopefully she'll give it another try. The icecream was a good idea!
