Please Help--SSR or Pop Century

My DS4 and I will be going to WDW October 15-19. Our family bought 320 points at BLT in May and this was to be our first trip using points. We were going to stay at SSR for 64 points. The AP discount just came out and we could stay at Pop Century for $305. I'm thinking that we might want to do that instead since it is just the two of us. We could save the 64 points for future family vacations. What else should I consider? Thanks.

If you are willing to deal with renting your points you could get $10 / point ($640) and have $300 left for spending money after paying for POP.

Umm... I just got back from a week at Pop. The kids loved the place! A studio is about 70 sf bigger than a room at Pop. I think your son would enjoy it. If you don't see being in the room a lot, I think I would save points for a time when the whole family is there and you need more room. Depends on the style of trip you want!

We have stayed at both SSR and Pop many times. I will stay at both again, but I have to say, if you are a light sleeper...SSR would be much quieter. I have to take my white noise machine everytime I stay at POP. The hallway noise seems amplified somehow. I have never heard a peep at SSR - great soundproofing.

For just the 2 of you and 4 nights, I'd pick Pop. You DS will be happy at either place because he is with you. $305 is a very good price, and this will probably be the last time you'll even consider choosing Pop in lieu of DVC. So far, you don't know what you are missing, LOL

I'd save my first trip home for a MK view at my home resort!
