Hi-

We just booked our December vacation today using the new code! :goodvibes We are really excited to be staying at the Polynesian Resort for 6 nights and 7 days. We are in total 4 adults and 3 children.
(Myself, DH, 7yr old DS,4 year twins and Nana and Papa!) party:

I am confused...How does everyone allow for the DDP table credits? :confused3 If I am figuring out correctly than I have 6 table service, 6 snacks and 6 quick meals per person for all 7 of us? What should I pay for Out of pocket or posssibly change? Can someone kindly review my reservations? Thanks! I really appreciate it?

Here are my Dinner reservations that have been made:

12/16 Ohana's 1 TS per person
12/17 California Grill 2 TS:bday:
12/18 Spirit of Aloha Show 2 TS
12/19 Hoop Dee Doo 2 TS
12/20 *Epcot Norway Princess lunch 1 TS* only 2 adults/1 child
12/20 Epc0t Japan 1 TS

12/21 Liberty Tree Tavern or another suggestion? 1 TS

12/22 ? any quick lunch

The California Grill reservation is for a special birthday celebration

Thank You!

You are correct that each person will have 6 credits of the each type of meal.

I would strongly suggest dropping the Spirit of Aloha. We went last August and although the show was pretty good, the food was less than desirable (IMHO it was plain gross).

I would also say pay oop for the one lunch as lunches are less expensive than dinner so you'll get more "bang for your buck" at dinner.

If you're still over your allotted credits, crunch the numbers and figure out what you'd most likely eat at the other restaurants and then pay oop accordingly.

Another idea is to share a few meals at non-buffet places. We have done that and it can get complicated to figure it all out, but it's doable with some planning.

You will have a great trip with fabulous food!

I also agree I would drop the SOA show, my second option would be paying OOP for the HDDR so you can get better seats for cash, final option is if you drop SOA (and still do HHR on DDP) then replace SOA with 1900 parkfare or Crystal palace and run the numbers with either place and the LTT...it might be cheaper to pay OOP at the 2 buffets.

Thanks so much for your reply-

For my twins, do you know if could I share their meal at the California Grill or is that a no-no? Ohana's, etc?

Funny, I wanted to cancel the Spirit of Aloha Show but, everyone in our party seems to want to see the show...so I have been "out voted!"

I think due to the cost I should probably put The spirit of Aloha show on the DDP and you are right
OOP expense the Princess lunch and maybe Ohana's.
The kids really want to see the Hoop Dee doo

Here is my dilema...So far I have 9 TS ( not including the Princess lunch) and I only have allowance for 6 TS! :confused3

Between the California Grill, Hoop Dee Do and tthe Spirit of Aloha there went my 6 TS...:scared1:

Thanks!

Well, you've really answered your own question, use your 6TS credits for the three 2TS meals. Pay OOP for the Princess meal since it a partial group. I'd cancel all the others and just use the CS credits. You can either use snack credits for breakfast or pay OOP at your resort CS.

I would cancel Hoop De Doo as even as your children age they can enjoy this show, so save it for another trip. Then I'd use the TS credit as such:

2TS CA Grille
2TS SOA
1TS O'hana
1TS LTT or Chef Mickey's
OOP for Princess meal

Use CS for dinner the other 2 nights (Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, Cosmic Ray's in Magic Kingdom, filling with good variety, perhaps even sharable)

IMHO don't cancel HDDR. It is so much fun for everyone of all ages and the food and show is soo much better than SOA. My 2 cents. :thumbsup2

Are you going with in the year? DO you have an AP...get the DDE for the meals that are not on the DDP and you can use it on your 7 diners..;)

Hi there-
We are going only December 2007...
May sound silly but, what is an What is a "AP?" DDE vs. DDP?

Here is my dilema...I am trying to please everyone...all 7 of us. One of my twins really wants to do the Hoop Dee Doo and he just loves Mickey Mouse! My daughter loves anything Princess and my older son will not do 1900 Park Fare because someone may see him with a Princess! MY FIL and MIL have requested to do the Spirit of Aloha Show.

We will go OOP on the Princess lunch? Does it pay to go OOP for the California Grill? Ohana's? Also, does anyone know where can I find a list of the TS points that are charged for all of the parks and resorts? Where is the WCC? Can I get to it easily from the Poly?
Thanks

Have you thought about splitting up for a few meals? Perhaps go to everyone in your group and say "look, we've each got 6 credits, here's how many credits each meal is - which ones do you want to do?" Maybe just your immediate family can do HDDR and your mil and fil can go to SOA alone.

Maybe you could go as a group to O'Hana & CG (3 credits each) then your family does HDDR and your in-law's do SOA (2 credits each). That still leaves 1 credit for everyone for Japan or LTT (together or separately) and you and the other adult and your dd can do the Princess lunch alone paying oop.

By the way, WCC is at the Wilderness Lodge. It is also a fun place, but it sounds like you're having enough trouble fitting everything in. :)

I still say save Hoop Dee Doo for another trip, he's 4 would still enjoy it years from now. Your Mickey lover can meet the big cheese at Chef Mickey's and they "hoop" it up there too with music, rowdiness and napkin waving. He may be initially disappointed at not going, but I think he will enjoy Chef Mickey's. If you go for dinner they even have the ever popular make your own sundae bar! We are going for breakfast and I've told my 5yo nephew that Mickey has invited us to his restaurant so we're going there on our trip. He's is pretty excited about that too! Steal shamelessly if you'd like. ;)

To replace the HDD entertainment I'd suggest seeing Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and The Country Bear Jamboree (great AC break too!) both in the Magic Kindom. Those will give you humor, country singing and storytelling for no additional cost. I have not seen Laugh Floor, but understand its sort of a family rated audience participation comedy club. I'm looking forward to going.

I get that Grandma and Grandpa get their request so SOA is a gotta do. The girls Princess outing should be very sweet. So your six TS credits would be spent (2-CG, 2-SOA, 1- Ohana, 1-CM) according my suggestion while you pay OOP for Norway princess meal and WCC if the guys go on their own.

Good thing your trip isn't 'til December, you have time to really stress now!
