Hey guys i was wondering if u could help me with a question I have...I seriously want to be part of the Disney College Program & I haven't gotten an interview or anything yet I heard they ask you about your G.P.A. Im very nervous about that because back in high school i didn't do good at all basically a lot of problems at home and i got a very low G.P.A cuz i wasn't thinking about school my head was somewhere else...I don't think Im dumb at all everyone makes mistakes and i wish i could go back and fix it, But I cant.I was wondering if they would actually go into it and call my school to check it..In my opinion i do not think that shows how smart I am ...i changed a lot and Im a hard worker and I think Im very smart :) But I do not want them to think Im a slacker :( or not pick me .. Did the G.P.A. question come up for you guys? thank you for ur Guys' time in reading this*************** :littleangel:

Disney doesn't care about your GPA I wasn't a good HS student either but I was able to get in the careerstart program which is a lot like the CP. I know when it comes to the CP your school will decide if your GPA will affect you going or not. Disney will call your school (I'm assuming your advisor) and ask them if you are eligible to go. It is then all up to the school. So don't worry about your past work on your present and future and you will be fine with Disney!:thumbsup2

Disney doesn't really care about your GPA and never asks you about it. They only care if you are actually in college and already completed a semester or in the process of completing it. In my first two programs, my GPA was below a 2.0 and I still got accepted. It basically all comes down to what your school says when Disney calls them. You should talk to your adviser and see what they say about letting you do the program.

The CP doesn't have anything to do with high school grades. They say one semester of college and a GPA of 2.0 or higher. I never heard of the recruiters calling advisors. Do you think they call an advisor for 10,000+ applicants? I have my doubts, but who knows. As long as you show you can work hard, you'll be great. College is your chance to get your GPA up! If you don't feel comfortable with your college GPA, work hard and get it up there so there is no way Disney could turn you down! :) And at Disney, passion is more important. I love working there.

"2. Meet Their School's Requirements for Participation
Students also must meet any additional criteria their school requires for participation in our program. This may include G.P.A., grade level, and number of credit hours earned. Schools will be contacted to verify eligibility. "

Thats what it says on the DCP website. Also a 2.0 isn't required unless your school says it is.

It's been so long since the application that I forgot about that, but honestly my school had nothing to do with it. I went to talk to an advisor when I was accepted into the CP and she was like "um ok". It's a big deal if you try to get credit, I know that. Just saying how my CP went.

Oh I def. wasn't trying to say you were lying or anything and for all we know they may not ever call any I was just showing where we got it from!:thumbsup2

Yes I've heard it can turn into a big deal if you try to get credit!
