Hello all im hoping to get some feedback that will help me decide. We will be taking our first disneyworld trip June 27-July 2. It will be my husband, myself and our daughter. She will be 2 1/2 yrs then. Ive been looking at all the value resorts and i really like POP and Movies but can someone tell me which one is best for small kids her age??

Either would be great for a small child. They are both very kid-friendly. We just got back from a stay at Pop. It was great for kids- and great for me, too. I have read a lot about the various resorts and Pop seems to be the favorite value for a lot of people. It tends to have better bus service and a better food court. On the other hand, if your daughter particularly likes one of the featured movies at Movies, then that might be more special for her. If she is in love with Toy Story or 101 Dalmations or Fantasia, then she would really like Movies. If she doesn't care much about any of those movies, then Pop might be better. There are some really cool huge statues of Baloo, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Lady, a Mickey Phone, a giant Play Doh, a Mickey Phone, and a Big Wheel. I loved Pop because the decor was very nostalgic for me. I prefer it to the Movies decor, which does not feature any of my favorite movies.

From what I have read, if you select Movies then I would definitely go for a preferred room. Otherwise, you will have very long walks.

Pop would also be good because you can walk across the bridge to Art of Animation and see all of the great decor there from Lion King, Cars, Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo.

I personally would choose Pop over All Stars for 2 reasons . The walking distance to the main hall/ food court and bus stop is shorter, especially important if you plan to take afternoon breaks from the parks and secondly the bus service to Pop seems better , and you have the option to take an AoA bus if the wait is too long and take the short walk over the bridge to Pop. Just my opinion .

100% Pop. We've stayed at Movies, Sports, and Pop (several times) and we love Pop. I don't think I'll stay at any of the All Stars again if I can help it. We are returning to Pop in the fall and we cannot wait. Love Pop. The food court is way better, the layout from the rooms to the food court and buses is better, closer even from a standard room. We never pay extra for preferred. The atmosphere is magical, and the cast members are great. The busing is much better, more of them and don't normally share. Movies is often the last bus to arrive when they share, and we saw many buses pass us waiting as they were full from stopping at Sports and Music first. And this last time at Sports we often stopped to get the people from those resorts. Some on here will say it's not common to share at the all stars, but that has not been our experiences when we stayed.

Thank You Everyone! She is really only into Mickey Mouse ClubHouse so the characters at movies would probably not catch her attention as much!

I'm going to go against the grain here, go with which ever one is less. I'm serious, a value resort is a value resort, yes they have different theming but the little one probably is just going to be happy to be there, it's not going to matter to her. As far as preferred or standard, I'd go with standard, I've stayed at Pop and ASSp, and I didn't find the walk horrible at either one of them. I stayed in the building right next to the parking lot at Pop, just walk through the parking lot and you are at the bus stop and the Food Court. All the All Stars are small, yes they occasionally share buses but from what I understand it is only during slow times in the middle of the day. Don't spend extra money you don't have to.

What rooms are better standard or preferred? If you get preferred what section are they in?

Preferred rooms are closest to the Main Feature Pool, buses and the food court. This family does not think it's necessary to spend the extra $$ to book preferred at any WDW resort.

Another plus side for Pop for a family like yours is that there is a wading pool right next to the main pool - something you're DD might like at her age!

Either would be awesome for kids that age, but I would definitely have to say Pop, not sure why but I find everything to be a slight step UP from the All Stars there!

I would probably go with Pop! I personally think it is a little bit of a step up from All Star but still for a value price. Plus, I think the buses for Pop are much better than AS! Good luck!

I just booked a quick 2 night trip to Pop, coming in on April 11. My friend is coming with me. We are celebrating our birthdays together
