I have Been Lurking around here for a few months and enjoy reading all of your post. This is my families first trip to disney world and first DCL vacation. :earsboy: My DH And DD4 will get to DW on May 12. We only have 3 nights there before the cruise. I need help with a good plan to visit the parks. I was thinking since we arrive on a Thursday afternoon we should visit either Epcot or MGM. Do you guys agree that Friday would be the best day to spend at the MK. One problem is that I have PS for CRT Saturday morning. I tried to get ressies on Friday with no luck. Should I go to CRT on Sat. if I plan on visiting AK and another park that day? Sunday we leave for the ship and I really don't plan on visiting the parks that day. TIA for all of your input! :sunny:

Congrats on your first WDW vacation! Your DD will LOVE CRT! You can keep you Sat PS and still try to get Friday - Keep calling to see if there is a cancellation - if you get Friday than you can cancel your Sat - If you don't get Friday you can keep your Sat CRT , go enjoy that then if you have the park hopper option go to another park. If you do not have the park hopper option you may want to change your MK day around if you can't change your CRT. I have never been on the DCL but I hear it is wonderful! Have fun!!

Welcome to the DIS LibbaM! :flower: What kind of park tickets will you have for this trip? What are the most important must-sees for you and your family for the park portion of this vacation?

The tickets are the kind that come with the land/sea pkg, I am thinking I can Park hop. I need to call my TA to doublecheck. I would like to see all the parks with one entire day devoted to the MK. I know it will be impossible to see everything, but I would like to visit the major attractions at each park. Is this possible?

With only two full days and one half day--pushing it. I would try to check in a couple of days early outside of the package and have a great time!! With a couple of more days--you will get to see more and not be so rushed. WDW is large(San Francisco)size and so much to do!!

With what amounts to 2½ days to do the parks, my advise would be to try to limit your traveling time between parks to as little as possible.

Even though you'll be arriving later on Thursday, I would still recommend heading to the MK for whatever amount of time you have left for that day. With a 4yo, you will want to get as much time in at the MK as you possibly can. If SpectroMagic is showing that night, make sure that you see it. And of course, make time to enjoy WISHES.

On Friday, head to MGM first and do whatever appeals to you there. Then take the boat from MGM to EPCOT to the International gateway. This entrance is EPCOT's "backdoor" and you will enter the World Showcase between France and Great Britain. Finish up your day with Illuminations.

Do the MK again on Saturday morning due to your PS, even though Friday was the EMH morning at MK. You can spend the morning redoing any favorite rides from Thursday, or catching any rides that you missed the first time thru. If the park begins to get crowded, you can always take the monorail to EPCOT or a bus to AK.

On Sunday, you will be departing from your resort in the late morning. There really is very little time to visit the parks before you need to head to the port. We did the 3-day land/4-night sea cruise in 2001. Visited every park but the pace was not leisurely. My children were also 9 and 11 at the time and we were all WDW veterans. Take your time and tell yourself that you will be back. You will not see and do it all on this trip.
