I need your help please oh frugal pals. I am in a situation where I am going to Disney in October and well, I have been saving for this for over a year now. I do EVERYTHING cash as I have been repairing my credit and I dont ever want to use a credit or debit card again (those swipes are sure hard to recover from doing lol) ...

I am wanting to purhcase my Mickeys Not So Scarry Halloween Party Tickets and first, Im wanting to know where the cheapest you have found them is? and second, I want to know if you all think it is a good idea to take my cash to the closest Disney Store and put it on a Disney Gift Card? Are there any perks or incentives for using Disney Gift Cards that I should know about?

Thanks

Re: cash/gift cards--If you take your cash to Disney and don't use it, you can bring the cash back home and put it in the bank. If you put the cash on a GC and bring it to Disney and don't spend it all, the money stays on the gift card and you will have to use it in some capacity for something Disney related. Maybe budget what you think you'll spend on souvies and put that on a GC? Good luck.

As PP said, you might be better off putting only a portion of your money on a gift card. As for the party tickets, I am not aware that there is any place to buy them for any discount other than the published advance purchase discount through Disney. We're going in October, too! Be sure to join us in the official October threads if you haven't already! Happy planning!:thumbsup2

The first one is being updated by Shannon(hotel dates/MNSSHP dates) and Nikki(ADRs). If you want to be added to their lists on page 1(hotel/party) and page 30(ADRs) just PM them your info! Everyone is very friendly and we're all just passing the time together and hoping for some deals to come our way!:thumbsup2

Through Disney and no discounts are offered to the general public. Not sure as I am not a season ticket holder or DVC but sometimes they get a small discount.

You can purchase a Visa gift card, call the number on the back of the card to set it up for online purchases, then use it to buy your tickets online. That's a Dave Ramsey tip for purchasing online when you don't have a cc or debit card.

Some MNSSHP nights are discounted. Once prices are released online you can decide if you want to go on one of those nights, typically a Tues or other weeknight.
