Please help me...

Pleased be advised that this is no longer true. You must pay for dining in full at the time you add it to the reservation. If you rent points you will need to make arrangements to include the charge in your payment to them.

Thanks for the info. I made my ressie many months ago. It shows up on my reservation on Disney's website. Maybe I'll check with my owner just to make sure.

The change in payment went into effect last October so if you reserved before that then you would be "grandfathered" in and able to pay when you arrive at your resort. Since then, however, full payment is required when you add the DDP to the reservation.

Good to know. My ressie was made last September. This could alter any plans to add the DP to a future ressie though. That's a lot of $$$ to fork over 10-11 months out.

You can add the dining plan to a DVC reservation up to 48 hours before check-in so you don't have to include it when you make the reservation. If you decide to add it, however, payment in full is due. As long as you have a good working relationship with the person you are renting points from, it is something that you should be able to work out. :thumbsup2

I understand what you mean about the price but depending on how you eat it can be a good deal... and the plus side is not having to worry about the prices or paying for it when you actually eat! :goodvibes

Oh, Ok. Big difference. Thanks very much.

We have rented points for our last 5 trips and it is relativley easy. If you go to the rent and trade boards on the dis there are some stickies that have some good information. The average rate is $10 per point. Some more some less. Services like Dave's are $13, but he does run specials if you sign up for his email alerts. Remember you are renting from a person not disney. So get the contracts, refrences etc. You can save some substancial $ by doing it this way. If you want to save even more you can do some of you meals in your villa. The 1 and 2 bdrms have a full kitchen. You will only get mouskeeping on the 4th day of your stay though. You can still get ME for free and dinning. Dinning is not free though so check the rates. You can still get you park tickets yourself either through disney or some other service. Hope this helps.

IMO 3 adults in a value would be crowded. CSR rooms were as large as AKL rooms to us. If you are going to divide the cost 3 ways I would look at BWI, POLY, or CR.
The Dolphin/Swan has rates as cheap sometimes as the Disney moderates and they are deluxe hotels at the Boardwalk.
After staying at the deluxes and CSR it is now hard for me to stay at the values. They seem crowded and loud with tiny rooms. We also ALWAYS seem to stand on the buses at POP, seldom at CSR.
