please help me with mycokerewards.com!

i just registered today and am trying to enter codes, and every one that i enter just hangs up with the little coke bottle spinning around on the "enter" button. i've let it spin for several minutes and it can't possibly take that long for it to work!!! i know i'm not an idiot, so what am i doing wrong? many thanks to anyone who can shed light on this for me....

If you're using the website code entry, it can take a while to register the codes and tally your balance. They use a lot of animation and scripting, so it runs slowly.

They've made some changes recently (like the 6/30 points expiration) and the emails I've received say that a new website is coming soon. Hopefully, it will be faster to load.

I've found the MyCoke "widget" for code entry is much faster and it skips the "what type of soda was this?" step. It's free to download and install.

I've redeemed those codes for two backpacks, a t-shirt, movie&drink tickets, free soda and contest entries.

I've been getting the brand new site for the past couple of weeks. It's totally different than the old site and I find it runs much faster (although I never really had a problem with the old site's speed).


I don't know what you mean by the 6/30 expiration. The program currently is scheduled to run (you can enter codes) through November 20, 2009, with the redemption going through December 31, 2009. They have extended it in past years, so I'm hoping they do that again this year. I just got this info from the "Rules" link at the bottom of the actual site.

That 6/30/09 deadline may have been directed at me in particular. I had entered a lot of points around Christmas, and then they started piling up waiting for entry. Right after I entered the batch at Christmastime, I received a few emails from them saying that "all codes entered on (date) would be worth double points." At which time I had nothing to enter since I had already put them all in. Grrr. Which is why I was stockpiling for the first half of this year, waiting for another offer.

I received about six emails from mycokerewards, saying that I had to sign in before June 30th or the points already on my account would expire. Maybe it was because I hadn't used the account in so long? I entered everything and redeemed all but one point last week because of that email. (Before 6/30/2009)

As for the new site, I've seen some changes, but it looks pretty much the same to me as it did last year.
My most recent emails from mycokerewards still say the new site is "coming in July."

Perhaps rflorek, you're on a beta testing version? (Lucky!)


ETA: Just signed onto www.mycokerewards.com and yes, it does look different today than it did last week.

This is a side note: I never realized you could enter the contests without using your points. It's a mail in entry. Cooolllll....

mycokerewards sent out a few emails indicating that their new site is online. (Much faster to enter codes)

One message contained a code to enter that gives you one free contest entry into a mortgage/rent sweepstakes.
