My mom and I are taking a trip down to disney right after the new year with my nephew (16 months) so for Christmas my DH and I are getting him one big toy and a little backpack for him to take on the plane with things to keep him busy. I already got the backpack, a few books, a coloring book with some stickers and crayons, and a couple light up necklaces left over from Halloween. I'm satisfied with that, but am looking for a little toy to throw in as well. He loves those jumbo legos and i've seen some smaller sets at the store, but am afraid of losing pieces on the plane. Also I'd hate to get something with noise and annoy the whole plane for 2 hours:rotfl: Any other ideas that would keep my nephew entertained would be great as well. I'm looking forward to the trip, but having never flown with a toddler, I'm nervous the plane ride will be miserable and want to make sure he has enough to keep him entertained! TIA!

Here are some ideas:

* magna-doodle
* empty sippy cup to use on the plane (buy juice/milk after security and have the cup filled and ready for take off)
* snacks...maybe a little milk carton of goldfish
* Post it notes

If you have a dvd player/ipod/mp4 player you can load w/a toddler show/movie, that could also be a LIFESAVER!!!!

hot wheel cars , if you have a Disney store near by they have character cars ( like Micky mouse , monster inc , pirates , Disney buses ) you can also find them at Disney my son has to get a new one on every trip
