Ok, it 's my first time on the DDP and so my first time making ADR's. Tomorrow is my 90 day mark when I can finally make them but I don't know what to do. We are going to be there 10 nights, 3 at the end of Sept. and 7 at the beginning of Oct. Because of how they put out the park hours I only know the official park hours for the first 3 nights of our trip. I was hoping to know the hours before finalizing which park to do which day and then of course which ADR's to make accordingly. Should I wait until Weds. when the hours for Oct. should be out or go ahead and do it on Monday morning and just hope the park hours are good with my meal plans???? PLEASE HELP me on this. I really don't know what to do. It's hard enough to plan all these meals anyway and I still don't have what time's I want for sure. AHHHH

One more question in regards to choosing parks for certain days. We are not getting the park hopper option and this is our first time onsite so I am trying to figure out whether or not to take advantage of EMH. I keep hearing mixed reviews. Some say definately do it and others say avoid the parks on EMH days because it's too busy. :confused3 Please help, I would love any advice on this issue as well. THANKS :flower3:

I would make your ADRs now and then make any adjustments once the October calendar is posted.

I just made my ADRs for Oct 1-3 and if I need to adjust, I will do once the calendar posts.

The September calendar didn't actually post until I believe June 5 or 6 so it isn't gauranteed to have the hours for October on July 1.

Good Luck!

Definitely make your ADR's on the first available day. Then, if you really dislike any of the hours after they are released, tweak them then. And try to make any of the ones you REALLY want to keep on days that you know they'll work...for example - during the September nights that you already know the hours or maybe on an 'off day' if you're planning any of those.

Honestly - the releasing of the hours doesn't affect my meal plans THAT much...we like to hit a couple of early entry days and maybe one later night - but if you don't do those every day - it won't have a huge affect.

I made all mine for early Sept before hours were released...a couple of the days disappointed me with the hours - but not enough to want to switch everything around, so I'm good with them.

How did you make your OCT ressies already? We check in on Sept 30th and they're telling me I have to wait until July 2nd.

For the OP... We never get up, ready, and out the door in time for EMH in the AM but we've always enjoyed the evenings and I don't think there are any more people than usual. Since I can make my ADR's on Thursday and I'm sure park hours won't be available, I went back and compared 2008 and 2007 DAYS, not DATES and they've been very close with the exception of EMH.

I just made ADRs online. At the Disney website, you can click on the "Book" tab on the top of the page, choose your restaurant and time, etc. There are even suggestions of other restaurants you might like. It only took me 10 minutes to make 2 ADRs. I LOVE it! :goodvibes

I would book them all too and make adjustments later. One thing to look for and plan around is the MNSSHP at the Magic Kingdom. On those nights, MK closes at 7:00 for park guests who are not attending. Just knowing that helped me plan those days before the hours were even posted.

Another thing that will help is if you plan your meals between 5 & 6pm, and choose some that are at the resorts and not in the parks. This way it won't matter what park you attend on that day, you can return to the same park later. Some of our favorites are 'Ohana, Chef Mickeys & Whispering Canyon Cafe. We are also trying Kona Cafe and I have heard that it's great too.

Another tip would be to make the ADR's that you want the most first, and then go from there. The ones that are hard to get will go quick so if you choose them first you can work around them for the other ones on your list.

I wish you luck tomorrow. :wizard: It's so exciting!!!:thumbsup2

Book any character dining reservations first! These will book up fast and you might have to be flexible on times. If you're okay with that, you'll be fine. Also, Le Cellier (Canada/EPCOT) is also a harder reservation to get but is possible if you don't worry about exact times/days etc... Resorts and Downtown Disney also have awesome places to eat so you can always check out one of those too. Just remember you're going on vacation and want to have fun so don't stress TOO much about ADR's -- easier said then done, I know! :lmao: Have a great time and good luck!!! Sending pixie dust your way pixiedust:

Once you hit your 90 day mark, you can book your stay up to 10 days beyond your 90 days if you are staying on property
