Please help me with a question on charging to my resort room

I just completed online check in for our trip in May. I do NOT want a credit card linked to our KTTW cards, so I did not enter one during check in, and the system did let me complete check in without credit card info. However, I was required to set up a pin for charging to my KTTW card. We are staying at AOA, and I understand that values have a charging limit of $500. Does this mean that even though I did not enter a credit card number, I can still charge up to $500 back to my room? I didn't think I would be able to do any charging if I didnt enter a credit card, but then why the need for a pin? Just curious - Thanks

not sure - you might need the pin when getting your package at checkin.

never try to charge something w/o it saying so on your card.

disney has ways of finding you and sending you the bill.

Haha...dont worry, I have no plans to charge up a bill and run! I'm sure they could find me easily enough ;). We actually dont want to charge anything to our KTTW cards, I was just curious why I needed to set up a pin. :confused3 Maybe its just a quirk with the new web site that makes everyone set up a pin whether they have charging privileges or not.

I don't think you'll be able to charge anything back to your room without a credit card being attached to your account. If I remember correctly, our KTTW cards had "Valid for charging" (or something like that) printed on them. I'm going to guess that everyone sets up a pin code as a part of the online check in process.

I would go with the quirk explanation. After all just a bit ago they required a cc to get though th online checkin and now they don't. Who knows what thy are doing?
