Please help me win a bet!

We'll be cruising with my DSIL and family on the 9/20 Eastern Magic. We were talking today and she mentioned that we'd have to make sure to watch Survivor on the Thursday night of our cruise.

I informed her that there was no way we were going to get CBS onboard. She assured me that we would.

We have a "Bahama Mama" bet on this one - Can anyone confirm that I'm right, she's wrong and that she will be buying the first round?

I know that you can get a station out of NY, but I' m not sure what affiliation it has. I would think that it would be ABC, but I'm not 100% sure.

You will get differing opinions on this one. When WE cruised, Survivor was my highest priority at the time ( I know, how sad.. .) and I had heard we could watch it. Well, NO DEAL. I missed it, and it was the FIRST show of the season WAY back in October 2001... I had to have my sister tape it. But I have seen others say they watched Survivor on their cruise. We weren't as fortunate. WHO knows why we didn't get it, and someone else did....??

I can only tell what happened to me. I, being one of the biggest Survivor fans, was totally upset that I would be the season finale when we did our 7-day Eastern cruise in May 2002. I set my VCR and asked my boss to tape it too -- just in case something happened . Well, wouldn't you know it. We had late seating and the kids asked to be excused. When we left the table about 20-30 minutes later we walked into our room and youngest ds was watching the Survivor finale where Vicepia won! Go figure! Hope you're able to watch it too.

You can definately get ABC onboard for a day or two outbound and then a day or two when you return to port.

I think a lot has to with satellite reception.

OK, this is one bet that I hope I lose! It would be worth a cocktail to be able to watch onboard...I'm that addicted to Survivor. Now, if my husband could just watch the Nascar race on Sunday, our lives would be complete...
