Please Help Me Understand!!!!!

So I was on the phone yesterday like the rest of you getting all my ADRs but I now have a question. This is the first time we are going sence my son moved up groups. He is now 11 and according to Disney and adult. I took the time today to go through all my ADRs on line and when I pulled them up I noticed that at some places it says 2 adults 2 children 7 & 11 and on others it says 3 adults 1 child 7. Is this a mistake that was made on the part of the person booking them yesterday or is it because of the type of restuant and I should not worry about it. The places it did this on are Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package, Ohanas and Chef Mickeys. Please let me know what you think.

It doesn't matter as long as they accounted for the right number of people. I have an 11 year old and an 8 year old and the same thing has happened to me.

It is because of the restaurant. Any restaurant with fixed pricing (buffets, all-you-can eat, etc.) will list any children 10 and over as adults as they will be charged the adult price for that meal. Not sure why it's set up that way as it can be confusing, but no need to worry.

Doesn't matter at all, as long as they set aside enough chairs! The 'Over 10 is an adult' is for dining plan charging purposes, and over 18 is an adult is the other way they can look at it. If you are on the dining plan, the restaurant will figure out how to charge you when you get there. Don't worry about it AT ALL.

I can remember going to WDW years ago with my brother and his family. It seemed there were a variety of places with a variety of prices. His kids and my kids ages were consecutive. We would go to a restaurant and the question was asked, "How old are the kids?" The answer was 7,8,9,10,11,and 12. Some of the places charged us for 6 kids and we had every other combination as well.
