Please help me understand the benefit of

adding points on at a different location from your home resort. I see lots of members have added small amounts (100 or less) at other resorts. I understand that that gives you the opportunity to book there at the 11 month window (any other benefit?), but wouldn't you need to use only those points at that time? Do you usually have enough points for a nice stay? Or do you just go there for "a quickie" ?

We just closed on BCV in December, but I'm always planning ahead!!

I just called for a HH add on (my home is BWV). I saw 2 advantages
1. Lower dues
2. $15 incentives on buy back

We rarely book for a prime time like Christmas and if we do it would be at BWV were I have the most points. The 7 window should do it for me most of the time, so my HH points will work for me at DIS.

Just seemed most cost effective with 98% of the same benefit.

You can bank or borrow to have additional points available at that resort. If you add-on 100 points, you can have up to 300 points to work with if you go in the second year (first year banked, third year borrowed).
