Hi! I posted a thread a couple months ago for some idea during our layover at FLL and we've decided to hit Hollywood Beach after checking things out. It will be me and my 6 year old son and we have junt under 5 hours total between flights, so I'm planning on about 2 hours at the beach, maybe a little less. I need help with how to get there, what do we need once there (is it park you pay to get into, once we arrive at the beach will we be waiting in line to get close enough to get out of the cab, how long will it take me to call or find a cab to take us back, etc...) and any tips/suggestions. Walk me through this, please!!! :worship: I know I can find my own way around and all that once we're there, but I'd really prefer to go in knowing what to do instead of getting there and wasting time tracking the info down, KWIM? Thanks in advance!

ETA- Our flight is on a Saturday and arrives around 3:30 then departs around 8:15pm, if that helps with any time issues for security and such. I know it tends to busier on cruise days, hopefully at those times it won't be quite so bad.

Bump for the evening crowd? I'm wondering how much to expect for a cab, it says it's 7 miles/15 minutes to get there. I have no clue how much a cab ride is. I looked into taking the tri-rail but it didn't look like it'd bring us close enough.
