  • You missed one. Here is my idea.

We will arrive in the World on June 21st and will leave on July 2nd. I need to book a resort in the mod price range for the first 7nights. The last 4 nights I have saved for the Poly, our favorite.

Where should I stay the first part? We can keep the rental car if needed.

I will be taking my DS 16 (Disney all the way), DS 13 (likes space and pool slides), and DD 10 (loves pool). Resort is most important to me. I want to relax.

Should we do a LUXURY condo at Windsor Hills, POR, CSR, or Hyatt Grand Cypress (brand new rooms and deluxe at 219 a night.)

We will do 4 park days during that time, one Sea World day and a couple of resort days before going to our Poly, lol.

Help! I cannot decide. I welcome all input.

My vote is for POFQ. Fun pool with a good slide, smaller and quieter than POR and just one of my favorites. We are doing a split stay in August with the BC and Poly, but if I couldn't do two deluxes, I was going to go for POFQ and Poly.

I voted POR, and then read the comment on POFQ which I say I would agree with. good slide, quite resort, and overal one of my favorite resorts I have stayed at! POR wouldn't be bad either stayed there back in the Dixie Landings days and at that time a good slide was a must and we found our self over at POFQ's pool (share amenities) more often that at the one there.

Thank you for your reply. I love the look of POFQ, but the masks in the eating area freak my kids out. I may bring it back up again though. :thumbsup2

Honestly, I highly doubt your kids will find the slide at POFQ "exciting." It is a kiddie slide at best.

The pool and play area at CSR is much more geared for hanging out and playing for older kids. The slide is the biggest and most fun of any of the mods.

POR would be my 2nd choice if staying on. The pool is pretty good and you have the boat to DTD which nis always nice!

The pool at WHills looks so nice, and very appealing for teens. We have always rented a private home with our own pool. I love how relaxing that is. You could get a place at WHills with its own little pool. Then you'd have the huge pool or the little pool as choices after a long day!

Yup. Creepy! Our fav mod when DS was younger was CBR. And that was before the new pool area. Now POR. We love the place, pools, food and Yehaa Bob in the lounge. When we stayed at CSR, our room was very far from everywhere! Even tho it was a preferred room. I didn't like the business/convention feel. DS was prob around 12 when we stayed at FQ. He did like the pool but not the masks in the food court and at 27 still doesnt! Lol! Can't help off property! Have a great time!

The kicker for me was your statement that you were only doing 4 park days. So I would say stay off site for the first part of your trip and do all the non-Disney stuff then. Pick an off site resort with a great pool for your kids, relax, do Sea World and then finish off your vacation with a bang at WDW. You'll probably save a lot of $$$$ that way too.

Yes. Of the 7 days on the first part, we will have 4 park days and 2 resort days. The resort is a BIG part of my vacation.

Thanks!
