Ok, I think I'm ready to book CSR for our August trip. Please help me choose which section to request as I would like to include the request when I make my ressie.

I'm really trying to decide between the Cabanas and the Ranchos. The ambience (sp) of the Ranchos appeals to me, I just like the way it looks from pics I've seen. The Cabanas appeals to me in that it is closer to the main buildings and I like the beach areas.

So hard to choose.... help me!! :scared:

We just got back from the Cabanas area and it was awesome! CLose to both the central areas - plus also the main pool. It was very pretty also.

Which building were you in? Water or standard view? What did you face out your room? Sorry for so many questions
:(

We stayed in Cabanas 8B, top floor, water view, corner room. Awesome view, close to Dig Site pool & bus stop #3(?).

Bumping for other opinions :Pinkbounc

We stayed in the Ranchos area and had an amazing view of the lake. To be honest, I don't think you could make a poor choice, as long as you've got a view of the lake. We were also close to a bus stop, which was key, especially when we were racing out of our room to get to the parks in the morning. It would be fun to stay near the beach area...those hammocks looked really inviting, but unfortunately, we needed another day in our vacation to be able to lounge around there. No matter what you choose, I hope you have a fabulous time!!::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

:D

I stayed in the Ranchos section in 2002. I can honestly tell you that any pictures that you see don't do it any justice, nor the rest of the resort for that matter. But particularly, the Ranchos section was far better than i imagined. It's the farthest from El Centro, but it was such a beautiful walk in the morning to breakfast. Oh yeah, be sure to feed the ducks along the way. They need love, too. Have a great time!

I requested Cabanas so that we could be close to El Centro and close to the Dig Site. I don't know if we'll get it.....but that is what we requested.

Not sure if this will help but here's a map of CSR. Hope it'snot to big for the boards. DS and I stayed at rhe cabanas 9b and like the view and the closeness to eveything.

In response to AlisonB's question - we were in Cabanas 8a.

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

We were in Cabanas 9B 2nd floor partial view of the lake (we paid for std). Loved it!
