Please help me!!!!!! (pick a resort!!)

We love Shades of Green and it still feels Disney to us. http://www.shadesofgreen.org/

The main pool is Mickey shaped and they have a Disney store (though at military prices). It is set right between Disney's Palm and Magnolia golf courses. The staff were fanstastic. We loved the option of getting on the SOG bus to the parks, walking to the Poly for the monorail or even walking to the Tickets and Transportation Center. I believe the walk to the Poly was less than 10 minutes - TTC 15 or 20 minutes. Easy to get back to for an afternoon rest and swim. You also get the Early Entry and Late night perk as staying at SOG counts as Disney resort guest.

The breakfast buffet is great and much cheaper than Disney, in fact all the food there is more affordable, they also have "breakfast on the run". We would load up on breakfast buffet and it would keep us going till later in the day when we would have a snack then have a proper dinner later. So we were really only buying two meals a day.

The standard rooms are large with two double beds and a small sleeper sofa. The bathroom had two sinks. Believe a refigerator was standard, so no extra charge for that. Request a room on the ground floor by the main pool or the quiet pool and you can sit out there on a little patio.

The only place I have stayed at on site was Caribbean Beach and I would go with Shades of Green any day.

just FYI I just checked and if you go next september and stay at Poly free dining is available and it will cost 4301 for tix, dining and room plus you are on the Monorail

Also price out the CR wing. It's a lot less than the CR tower. You'd have an easy walk back and forth to MK.

Having said that, if you can swing the above Poly cost, then that would get my vote. Having the TTC right there for direct transport to both MK and Epcot is priceless when you have young kids plus a baby and at least one stroller/jogger. You are going to have your hands full, so you should stay at a place that offers the easiest ways to get around, in my opinion and from my experience. Have a great time! :goodvibes

Check your tickets and make sure you are buying the right ones. Hopper priveledges and water parks and more can really pile on the cash. We use none of these features and have an awesome time!

Furhter, make sure that the dining plan suits you. We used it once when all our kids qualified as chidlren and the kids really got sick of chicken fingers and uncrustables. Check out AllEars.net and look st the menus to see if the dining plan really works for your family.

Just a few suggestions.

Was this for a room that sleeps 5?!?!?

If so I may book that!!!

Thank you so much

yes it does. The Poly has to bed plus a day bed, so does the CR garden wing so you may want to check that too. We stayed CR last year in the garden wind and being able to walk to MK by myself with 2 little kids was fantastic
