The more I read, the more confused I get :confused3 Please Help!

We will be arriving July 6th for 9 nights - DH46, DD16, DD15, DD12, & Me36. We're Staying at Fort Wilderness in our RV, and having most of our meals there, but I do want to plan one meal out every day. The problem is... I can't make up my mind  I'm hoping some of you will help - I'm too DISed out to finish these dining plans myself! LOL Two of the girls are VERY picky eaters - please take that into consideration. I've looked over the menus, and it seems that all of these restaurants will have something they will eat - Still keeping my fingers crossed on that one! Mainly we want a good lunch out of the July heat mid-day - Any advice suggestions would be appreciated!

I need to pick 2 of the following for lunch on the 2 days we have at Epcot - Which one should I eliminate?
Olivia's Cafe, Rose & Crown, Beaches and Cream

Same for our days at MGM, I need to eliminate one of these -
Prime Time, Sci-Fi (for theme mainly, but I do like their burgers and shakes), Mama Melrose's

2 Day's at Magic Kingdom - Which one should we skip?
Crystal Palace, Grand Floridian Cafe, Tony's Town Square

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Wendy

We stay at Ft. Wilderness too.

Frankly, if you are there during the summer and during extended hours, I would go back to the campsite for a cold lunch, swim and short nap. I'd save your sit-down meals for later in the day.

I really would hate to eat a big meal and then be out in the hot sun - blah!!

For MGM. I would eliminate Mama Melrose. At MK, I would skip CP and Tonys and add the Plaza Restaurant.

For your Epcot days why not stay in the park and try the San Angel Inn? They have burger for kids. Olivia's Cafe would mean leaving the park completely. You'd loose valuable "play time". At least for Beaches and Cream you can exit the International Gateway and walk to it.

I have to totally agree with that. Summer in FL is no time to eat a big meal for lunch & then be out in the heat.... We're lucky if we can even eat a big dinner, let alone lunch.....

As far as the restaurants you have listed, I would skip Olivia's (travel time) Mama Melrose's & Tony's.

I agree with the other posters, do your park meals coming back in from your break.

Do you have to leave Epcot? I have the pickiest eater in the would and she is able to find at least one thing on the menu, except she won't eat at Teppanyaki, since she can't get typical kid's food there.
From your list, I would eat at Beaches & Cream, at MGM I'd go to 50's PTC, and at MK, I would eat at CP.
HTH

Out of that list, the only place I have eaten is Tony's and I would definately recommend that you skip that one.

As for the big meal during lunch, if you still intend to do that I would plan to go to a show or something just after that way your food can digest a little before going back out in the sun.

I would definitely skip Olivias and Tonys (our least favorite). MGM is harder but I would eliminate Prime Time Care, only because we love the burgers and atmosphere of Sci-Fi and with Mama Melrose's you can do the FDP. If you aren't interested in the Fantasmic Dinner Package then I would eliminate Mama Melroses. We'll be at WDW July 1-12 so perhaps our paths will cross. Have a great time.

Epcot - I like Olivia's, but not enough to leave Epcot completely. I'd skip that one.

MGM - Out of the three, I would probably skip Mama Melrose. To me, the other two are more fun, and Prime Time is one of my favorite places.

MK - I would skip Tony's.

Thanks to everyone for your help! I really appreciate the input.

As far as a big meal in the middle of the day... The reason is... that's how we normally eat, occasionally having a big dinner. The two dinners I have planned are Boma and Trail's End. Most days, we like to go to the parks early, break for a late lunch and then relax, swim or whatever until after dinner. Then go back to the parks late. We have nine nights - July 6-14, so we're not on a crunch to park tour all day in the heat. If we have a big meal in the evening, we get lazy and don't do anything else for the rest of the night :confused3 I know... weird... that' just us.

Now I'm thinking...

At MGM, we'll do Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time

On MK Days - Crystal Palace (The girls are set on this one!) and the Grand Floridian Cafe

Epcot - Rose & Crown and try to make it to Beaches and Cream.

How hard is it to get a table at Beaches & Cream? Anyone know the best time to go?

Thanks again for all the input!

I can't wait till July 6th!!! :hourglass
