I am currently booked for one night in 2 OKW studios, followed by six nights in a BWV 2BR Villa. I am waitlisted for the BWV 2BR for the first night, but it still hasn't come through (it's been about 2 months). The day we are scheduled to arrive at OKW, we won't get there until around 4PM, and will head over the BWV the next morning, check-in, then probably go to the parks. Now I am beginning to think it would be better to just stay at BWV the first night, and switch rooms day two, and not have to move the luggage, just have bell services hold it until the 2BR is available. What do you all think? Should I try the 18 hour stay at OKW, or just get a room for the night at BWV? I'm not even sure yet if BWV will be available for that night (it was two months ago when I waitlisted and booked OKW, but that means nothing at this point - they even had a 1BR STD available, which I wish I would have booked!).

Thanks! ;)

You make good points for both. OKW is something new and you can "try" it for a short time before moving to BWV.

No matter which you pick, you still make a trip to bell services to store your luggage. The only difference is walking to the lobby at BWV or having bell services transfer it from OKW to BWV. Either way it probably takes the same amount of your vacation time if you aren't expecting to check in right away.

Plus, you already have the OKW studios and then you won't have to stress about getting something at BWV.

Bell services will move your luggage from OKW to BWV for you. OKW is a great resort. Give it a try.

I agree that you're fine either way. My only concern is that you won't be giving OKW much of a chance if you are only spending one night in a studio. I hope you'll return to OKW for a longer stay and, judging by where you've stayed in the past, I'd recommend the 1 or 2 bedroom.

I agree with Pam. The biggest plus for OKW is the 1-B/R or larger units. You may find the Studio not special in any way. At OKW in the Studio, if you don't need the 2nd bed, it just takes up room. Even though the OKW Studio is larger than the other resorts' studios, it can seem smaller because of the bed arrangement.

Do try an OKW 1-B/R sometime.

Excellent point Bill! We love our 1 bedroom villa at OKW -- best design they have ever come up with!

And I agree with Pam -- one night does not give you the opportunity to enjoy the more laid back atmosphere of the resort.

I would try to get in the first night at BWV. I'm not a fan of moving around.

On your next trip, stay at OKW for the whole visit.

I agree - personally, I'd worry less about my luggage if it were already at the BWV instead of "in transit" somewhere. And you might get lucky and be able to get into the 2 bedroom early. Wouldn't you rather be able to get your luggage right away and get settled in rather than have to wait for it? :D

Give OKW a chance sometime in the future - there are lots of years left on the contract. Surely you'll be able to work OKW in somehow! :p :teeth:

Best wishes -

I would wait until 30 days before your arrival-wait lists tend to free up at the last minute so people wont lose their points.

Humm, sounds like opinions are pretty much split. Just to add, we will have a rental car, so we'll move our own luggage.

Haven't called MS yet about availability, as I'm not sure what to do. Plus, a little bit of me wants to try BCV, too! LOL, but, it's either OKW or BWV. I just wish my BWV waitlist would hurry up and come through! ;)

Thanks for all the opinions.

I would go for BWV if your talking a studio. I did not care for OKW's studios at all. When I go back to OKW it will be in a one bedroom.
