A ex coworker of mine has a super sparkly ring. I LOVE it. She said it was a gift from her mom and she doesn' t know where she got it. She said her mom can't remember, butsaid possibly home shopping or qvc. The ring has NO stones, it looks like it is silver or white gold and it has an design that is really sparkly, but it looks engraved. I wish I could describe it better. Does anyone know what I mean?

It has some black and silver and no stones, its really pretty. ANy ideas? ANy frequent home shoppers?

I am looking for a unique wedding band, and this is exactly what I would want, and I would love to see a collection to see if there are others.

I have no idea! If I knew what it was or how they made it so sparkly, I would have better luck trying to google it. lol.

It is some sort of silver material or metal, and it looks engraved (bumpy) in a beautiful pattern and the engraved-ish part is the sparkle part. I really wish I knew what it was or how to describe it. I cannot find anything like it, and I have never seen anything like it. It is a band.

When you search for it - search 'art deco'.

It sounds like my wedding band, but my band has diamonds in it, too. But the style is considered 'art deco'. Put in vintage, too. Might help.

Do you still see this ex coworker? maybe ask her if you could take a picture of the ring, it might make it easier to find if we could see what it looks like.

Neverlandclub23 & Blackpearl95 it has that same kind of sprkly design! At least now I have something to go on! You guys are the best! SO it is a "diamond cut band" that I am searching for. :)

Thank you!!!!! Ill keep googling!

If the metal itself sparkles and catches the light, it is almost certainly what is known as "diamond-cut" metal. That means that the metal has been carved with faceted cuts in the manner of a stone. Most of the precious metal ones that I have seen that have black relief on them are made of Titanium.

If it is costume, it also could be sliver/marcasite. Those are the very intricate black-on-silver designs that you see in art deco costume jewelry. They shine very nicely if they are laquered.

Marcasite is actually a mineral that is faceted to sparkle brilliantly (and not a metal as could be interpreted from the above comment).

Sparkling metal means that there has been dimensions cut into the band. If it has black on it, the ring has most probably been oxidized after faceting the band.

Or, it could be cloisonne... can't tell without seeing the actual ring/photo of the ring.

NOtUrsula, I think that is exactly what I am searching for :) They are so pretty! I am going to be searching for the perfect one! Thanlks for the input.

I knew I could count on you guys. ;)
