Just wanted to add to this. We have donated to the ASPCA for a gift for SO's mother for one mother's day. She loves animals so she loved this idea. They sent her some "token" gift at the time of the donation (like a stuffed cat or something, I don't remember exactly what) and a quarterly (I think) magazine.

Also, to the other idea about supporting a child in another country. One of my co-workers (who was a single mom) "adopted" a foreign child through one of those programs when her daughter was very young (it was a monthly contribution) but it instilled in her daughter the value of charity from a very young age, and through the years she kept getting yearly updates (pictures, letters, etc) from the child, and she and her daughter were able to watch this child grow up with her daughter through the years.

OP I make jewelry and have a piece that I wear regularly and get tons of compliments on. It's a birthstone bracelet, mine has my birthstones and my kids, it's a very simple design.....if you're interested send me a PM.

Otherwise what about a photo book? I gave them for Christmas and the recipients loved them. I also think the weekend away with the boys would be great, especially if she's missing her time with them.

My son in law is a disabled, stay at home vet. He is a cleaning fanatic, but I will keep this in mind for his birthday! Thanks!

OT but just had to comment at the coincidence. My husband is a disabled stay at home Vet as well, 100% service connected and unemployable. What branch was your son in law in?

Love the idea of pre ordering the photopass and adding on a session. I suggested the photo shoot but I can't belive I diden't think of the Disney connection. That's a great twist!

You said she just started to work from home? Do you have a favorite picture of her family? Maybe you can have one of those coffee mugs made with a photo on it? She can drink from that mug while she works.
