We are going to DW for FD in October and I have tweaked my ressies until they are perfect...almost. My family would like to try Beaches and Cream, but that would mean that I need to cancel one of my ADRs. Which of these (including B&C) is the most expendable? The three restaurants that I have scheduled that are must dos are Biergarten, LeCellier, and Crystal Palace (breakfast), but the rest could be on the chopping block. I have studied all of the menus and they all appeal to at least 3 of the family equally (my DS is very picky and has asked if he can skip some of the TS and use extra CS). Please give me your suggestions!

Sci Fi (lunch)
50's Prime Time (lunch)
O'hana (dinner)
Teppan Edo (lunch)
Crystal Palace (dinner)
Cape May (dinner)
Yak & Yeti (lunch)
Tutto Italia (lunch)
Chefs de France (lunch)

I would chop Teppan Edo. Just my opinion, but don't really care for that style of dining.

I would cut Tutto Italia, I

went last year and the only good thing there was the good looking servers:rotfl2: I may give it another try but not any time soon. I feel that some of your other picks will offer more variety and some will offer more of an experience than Tutto.

We always seem to end up with 1 too many TS. We always pick the cheapest one and pay OOP. We then use the extra CS on our last day for lunch before we leave. But if you really want to cancel one, here are my suggestions:

Sci Fi (lunch) A must-do for us every trip. It is a Disney only experience. I wouldn't cancel this one, but it is usually the one we pay for OOP. DH likes to get an appetizer, and we are always too full for dessert, so paying instead of using the plan works best for us.

50's Prime Time (lunch) We haven't tried this one yet, but plan to do so this trip. I've read some really good reviews.

O'hana (dinner) This is the one I personally would cancel because we've had a bad experience there. BUT most people really love it. If you've never been, I think I would keep it and give it a try.

Teppan Edo (lunch) Another must-do for us. It is also a really good use of a TS dining credit. It is pretty pricey. BUT, it is a typical Japanese steakhouse. There is noting really "Disney" about it, so if you have a good JS near your home, it may be the one to cancel.

Crystal Palace (dinner) Definitely don't cancel this one! The character interaction is fantastic and the food is yummy.

Cape May (dinner) I've never tried this one. I really thought about it for this trip, but then I read some bad reviews.

Yak & Yeti (lunch) Another one we've never tried, but my cousin raves about it. It is on our list to try eventually.

Tutto Italia (lunch) Really, really good! BUT, our kids didn't really love it, so we are skipping it this year. It is also pretty expensive, so a good use of a credit.

Chefs de France (lunch) Never tried this one either. I've also read some bad reviews, so we probably never will.

Good luck with what you decide!!! :goodvibes

I would cancel Sci-Fi. It gets great reviews from most people but the menu never sounded very special to me... but on the other hand, it isn't very expensive, so perhaps you could keep it and pay OOP for it like TruBlu suggested.

If it were me I would can Sci-Fi. The quality of the food does not match the price you would be paying. It's not terrible but it's not that great either. The big draw is the atmosphere....which is cool but if you've already done it you can afford to skip it. I think B&C would offer a great alternative and a nice break during that day (which I am assuming would be a DHS day for you). Your family can take a nice leisurely boat rIde over to Yacht and Beach and then boat back over to DHS after your meal.

B&C's food quality is WAY better. Great burgers, onion rings, grilled cheese, steak & cheese sandwiches. YUMMY!!

Cancel the second ADR for CP (dinner). You are already going there for breakfast - eliminate the duplication of location.:rotfl:

I would either eliminate Sci-Fi or 50s prime time. Never really cared for either.

I hate the thought of eliminating..... I told my husband that we should do OOP for one meal so as not to have to eliminate one.... I explained that it would be cheaper to do that than to upgrade to the DxDDP from free dining....

(A little manipulation....:rotfl2:0

If you can afford to, keep 'em all and pay out of pocket for one. OR just have ice cream at Beaches and Cream instead of a meal....

I can see how you are having difficulty in deciding, they are all such popular choices with lots of fans on the DIS.

Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for all of your help! I have to admit that Sci Fi and 50's Prime Time were at the top of the list to cut, mostly because of the reason a lot of you gave about the atmosphere being better than the food. We usually go on such a tight budget that we don't eat at the sit-down restaurants, so it is a hard choice to pick from all the great places I've read about on the DIS. I have thought about going to Sci Fi for just a couple of appetizers and shakes, out of pocket and saving the credits for B&C or doing the opposite and getting sundaes out of pocket at B&C and eating at Sci Fi. I agree with all of you that said they hate the idea of eliminating!

We LOVE Beaches & Cream BUT don't think it's worth a ts credit. Yes, the burgers are great, but you can get the SAME burgers at Hurricane Hannah's for a cs credit. Yes, B&C makes the burgers for HH's. If you want to do B&C for the atmosphere, get a sundae, don't waste a ts credit here... and remember, we LOVE B&C and go almost every trip! I just wouldn't spend my ts credits here when Disney has so many great restaurants.

Sci-Fi or 50s Prime Time. If it were me, I'd dump 50s Prime Time. I've eaten there twice, and that was twice too many.

It's not that the food was bad. Actually, it wasn't bad at all. But the allure to me of 50s Prime Time was supposed to be the experience, and I didn't think it was fun at all.

In your case - since you *really* want to eat at B&C, you might dump Sci-Fi. Honestly, we like Sci-Fi, but the food is going to be similar to B&C.

Of the two, I *much* prefer Sci-Fi.

Seriously??? I had no idea!

Sci Fi (lunch) Pay OOP, not very $$ and then you can have it all!!!
50's Prime Time (lunch) Never been........
O'hana (dinner)I really want to try this some day!
Teppan Edo (lunch)KEEP, dinner maybe??
Crystal Palace (dinner) Personally one trip to CP is enough for us, same characters......
Cape May (dinner)KEEP
Yak & Yeti (lunch)Never been but it's on our list this year.......
Tutto Italia (lunch) Never been but doesn't get the greatest reviews.
Chefs de France (lunch) KEEP

Good Luck with your decision. I would personally pay OOP for Sci Fi or 50's and then you can have it all!!!:dance3:

I'd cut either Crystal Palace, since you said you'll be doing breakfast there, and/or Tutto Italia. DH and I ate there and the food wasn't worth the prices really. The atmosphere is nice, but it can be skipped for next time.

I would pay OOP for B&C and keep the others. B&C doesn't seem like a good use of a TS credit to me.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I would pay OOP for B&C or just get dessert there.

Second choice would be CP dinner because it's a duplicate.

Third choice would be Sci Fi because it's just not every impressive, food or experience. Better in theory than execution, you know?
