Ok. Help please. Opinions!
Travel Dec 31 to Jan9. Staying at POFQ. Two adults. One 13 yr old. One 16 yr old.

Willing to change resort only if a decent deal comes out. Also willing to check out and back in if deal starts on say Jan 2nd....

Enter dilemma. This past year's promo (as always not valid at PoFQ) started Jan 1st. I am not sure how the pricing worked out at say CS??

Currently the 25% discount off passes for Canadians. is still valid. We have 10 day passes

Do i take the passes at the discount and count my blessings? I am also assuming that if we already have passes then we are not able to get a package discount if it again becomes available.....

The January promo for Stay Play and Dine....vs Room only, was there a big difference in value of discount? If I prepay my passes with the Canadian discount, then my 'package' is only hotel and dining. not sure if that allows me to qualify for anything that may come up

Really don't know all about what you have going on with tickets, but just to say that if a room discount comes out, you can get a discount with a room only booking, or with a package.
The various meal and other new fangled deals do generally include tickets purchase minimum and or class of package.

well I spoke with disney> It turns out the previous info I had was actually wrong.
I was told:
-for Canadian park discount, you must pay upfront in full. NOT True if you have a package, it's just added on to your existing package. I saved $360 for our group of 4, and it was done off the booking
-I was told you can't cancel or change. NOT true, if there is a package that comes out that requires us to have passes, dining, and room (ie stay play and dine) then I can change the passes back to the reg price, assuming the other package deal is better. OR I can do just a room only as previously suggested.

Therefore, we went ahead, saved the $360 which was a guaranteed savings rather than a 'oh i hope a discount comes out'.
