Hello! Please give me your advice on which reservation to keep for the Plaza Inn:

1. Tuesday, May 5th at 9:10am- Park Opens at 10, Magic Morning at 9am (we are eligable). We did early entry last May at 9am and it was basically worthless- couldn't even move in Fantasyland (we aren't interested in Tomorrowland). Maybe this was a fluke? Should I spend all of early entry at the Plaza instead?

2. Wedsnesday, May 6th at 9:50am- Park opens at 10, no Magic Morning. I like that my reso is slightly before the park opens- but not much. Thinking I'd be missing some short lines if I pick this option.

Please let me know what you think! Thanks from your help in a previous post- my daughter is dying to meet Minnie!

Keep #1
Disney is a bit lenient if you are late. Do some of Fantasyland (Alice, Dumbo, etc...) for 30 minutes then go to your reservation.

I would be inclined to go with option 2. That will get you in the door a little earlier and with Wednesday being an early morning at DCA the crowds at Disneyland might be a little quieter to begin with anyway. Also, if you are in the park before official opening, you might be able to snag a few photos with no people, always a treat!

We did an early morning in Disneyland a few weeks ago and Fantasyland was active, but not horribly busy. We showed up about 20 minutes after the magic morning started and still managed to ride the rockets in Tomorrowland, get some good photos in front of the castle, ride the carousal, take a spin on the dumbos, meet Peter Pan and Hook, and were just walking onto Snow White as the park was officially opening.

I think I would go with option 1. The earlier meal time at Minnie's seems to be better, in my experience. The food lines were shorter and the character interaction was better.

Where were Peter Pan and Hook meeting?

We saw Peter while on Dumbo and raced off to catch him over by Mr Toad, he walked with my daughter a bit and then pointed her in the direction of Hook who was standing by Casey Junior.

Personally, I would not spend the Magic Morning hours having a breakfast. I agree that MM can be busy, but I found that the crowds were mostly concentrated at Peter Pan. So we could have probably done some of the other MM attractions if we had skipped Peter Pan. Next time, I'd probably focus on Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Alice, Snow White, Pinocchio, etc. during MM and save PP for later in the day (it's going to be a long line anyway). Then I'd aim to have breakfast after spending an hour to 90 minutes in the park.

In truth, I think it's a little bit of a coin flip whether it would be better to do the breakfast on Tuesday or Wednesday. For me, I would probably opt for a later morning breakfast on the Tuesday (MM) because I would have had some time to do some attractions in the morning beforehand.

In terms of Hook and/or Peter, I've seen them moving about Fantasyland. I remember seeing Hook over by Storybook Canal boats in November (didn't see in last weekend, but I wasn't looking really hard either).

Wow, this is a hard decision! PP is closed while we are there.....does that change your opinion at all figment_jii?

Hum...I do think that means the crowds will be more distributed in Fantasyland, but I don't think there is any one "magnet" attraction (like Peter Pan was/is). So, I would still aim to do as much as possible during MM and then have a late breakfast.

Alice and the canal boats seem to be the big draws with Peter Pan closed. I've been there a few times since this refurb started, and this has been the case each time. There has also been some spillover to Mr. Toad, but not as bad as the others.

Thanks all! Decided to go on Tuesday- Weds should be slow at the park so will hit right at opening. Thanks for the help!
