Hello,
We would like a cabana for Castaway Cay for our cruise in February. We are concierge. I need a little help on what cabana #'s might be best for our family. We are a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 small children (2 of them being toddlers) On the top of our list would be quiet and not too close to others (last time the family beach area was too crowded and overwhelming for me. Felt like people were sitting right next to us all day!) I would also like a nice view of the water and a beach where the kids can swim. A view of the ship would also be nice. Walking long distances in not an issue for us. I would choose being secluded more important than being next to the restrooms. If you have any recommendations and pictures of specific cabanas I would love to see them. I welcome all opinions.

Thank you.

Most of the cabanas on the family beach will face toward the dock where the ship is. Here's a long shot picture of the cabanas on the family beach. Number 1 is on the right/21 on the left. The higher number cabanas are in a smaller lagoon - shallower water, but, from what I've read, a bit more rocky. The main cabana area is on the main family bay area - more movement in the water.

We were in cabana 12...a little walk from bathrooms and lunch, but not so bad with kids in the wagon. I agree that there is no bad cabana/bad view. The water is very shallow which was great for the littles. I didn't notice it being too rocky. I am going to try to get a lower number cabana for our cruise in January...mostly bc we will have 2 three year olds and will want to be closer to restrooms.

We had #5 as well. Even though we were a quick walk to lunch and restrooms, it still felt very private. The beach in front of the cabana area was not crowded at all. We had a lot of privacy. Views were spectacular. Half the time I sat on a chair in the water near the shore while I watched my kids play. So relaxing! Ahhh wish i was there now!!!!

the cabana at the far left, it looks like a "double" and is over the water?

We've had 3, 4, 5 and 16. They were all great. I personally prefer the lower numbers because they are closer to the restrooms, Cookies 2 and Pelican Plunge.

We have #20 for our october cruise. I know all cabanas are great, but just a little disappointed that there appears to be no vegetation around that cabana. Looks kind of bare and crowded in by the neighboring cabanas. Oh well at least we were able to get one.

We had cabana 6 and it was a perfect location. I think with young kids lower number cabanas are better because you are close to Cookies 2, Pelican Plunge and most importantly the rest rooms.

Just remembered I had this pic: our view from cabana #12. Lots of vegetation but did not obscure the view. I remember it not being very private from the cabana next door (#11).

On the family beach cabanas 10-12 have near perfect views of the ship.

Yes. That's why it's twice the price (double size). I think just a small portion of it is over some water (fairly shallow)

Family Beach cabanas are $549 per day. There is a 7.5% Bahamian VAT bringing the cost of rental close to $600 for the family beach rental. Serenity Bay (adults only 18+) are slightly less. Still have the VAT. Do not know the exact price there as we have only had a cabana on the family beach.
