Please help me decide.... (long and rambling, sorry)

Trying to talk DH into a short trip to Orlando in March during a school break (Wed-Sun).

Originally we thought we'd like to go to US/IOA. We were just in Busch Gardens/Williamsburg last week and I think that helped DH to change his mind. He doesn't get on many rides at all and neither does DS (9). DS (14) and I get on most of the rides together. Poor DH got food poisoning on Thanksgiving day and missed the last day of fun. He said he enjoyed our last trip to WDW, but would like to go again and see all the things we missed the first time. We love the extras like the shows, parades and fireworks since we're not diehard ride fans. My kids absolutely loved Epcot (especially the World Showcase) and we'd love to go again.

We stayed at the WL over Thanksgiving 2002. We messed up by not taking the upgrade to concierge when offered at check-in. If we go again, we'd like to go concierge. Also it was horrible for the four of us (DS and DH are over 6') to stay in the small room at WL with only two beds, so we either need a room that sleeps 5 or we will book two connecting rooms. We thought about booking a villa, but we really like the feeling of being where the action is. We saw several other WDW resorts that we'd like to stay at, but we loved the WL and didn't get to do some of the activities offered there. Youngest DS absolutely loves water so a great pool is a must. Remember, we'd like to stay on the concierge floor for the food, so keep that in mind.

So, after all my rambling, which would you recommend and why? I know I got the WL for $150 with a code. Do codes usually apply to the others?

Hard Rock Hotel @ US/IOA
Boardwalk Inn
Wilderness Lodge
Yacht & Beach Club

Hmmm... CR, Poly do sleep 5. CR Tower has the daybed and the room is roomy. But I believe it costs more than WL. I am not sure about codes. CR Tower is one of my favorites for the size of the room, view, monorail and close to MK.

Sorry, should have been more specific, which one of the four hotels I have listed would you recommend?

Even if the room doesn't sleep 5, we have a portable air mattress we can pack for one of the boys to sleep on the floor.

I've stayed at BWI and some rooms have the daybed. We had one since my DSs - teenagers - couldn't share a bed. I like the location of the Epcot resorts and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You can walk to Epcot and MGM from the BWI. You have access to a lot of restaurants and entertainment. The same holds true for BC/YC and S/D.

I haven't stayed at the others. Once again, I am unsure about codes applying to those Disney resorts. I've never seen anyone write that they got YC/BC or BWI for $150 even with a code. Usually you see WL or AKL for that code rate. Check out mousesavers.com.

I'd go with the BWI. You can'get any closer to Epcot than the BWI, and the BW also offers a number of diversions. The rooms sleep 5, with your 9 y.o. in a child sized day bed. The rooms are larger than the WL, though they're still not huge. The concierge level at the BWI is quite good.

Aren't the Villas connected to the hotel? That would be my choice. If you really liked the WL, take the villas! BUT, if that's really not an option for you, I would take either the Boardwalk or the Yach/Beach. The rooms are somewhat larger, so even if they don't have a daybed for you, there'll be a little bit more space for your air mattress. :)

And although you had it limited to those choices, I wouldn't discount the polynesian or the contemporary, based on room size. The polynesian rooms are 409 square feet, and the contemporary are 422 square feet. Both the Boardwalk and Yacht/Beach Clubs are 380 square feet, and the Wildnerness Lodge rooms are 340 square feet.

Some random info. Use it as you see fit! ;)

I have stayed at the WL and agree about the size of the rooms. However, we are staying there again in September because of the low price ... but my heart will always be with the YC!

If it were me (everyone likes different things though) I would go for the YC, standard view. We got it for $169 a night last September. The standard views at YC are fine if you know what to ask for and the rooms feel much more spacious than the WL.

The pool is nice and big / winding ... Beaches and Cream is a great place to eat ... and we just think the building is really pretty. Transportation was good to all the parks. CM's were nice. We really like YC so I am partial :-)

Happy deciding!
