Please help me count (LOL, no really)... 11 months

Hi All,

So it is October 31st at 1:47am.

I want to book 11 months out at my home resort. I selected September 30-October 6, 2014.

I received the following:
"You've selected a date for your arrival that is currently outside the booking window. If you're booking a Home Resort, please try again anytime after 8:00 a.m. ET on the day that is 11 months from today's date. If booking a non-Home Resort, please try again anytime after 8:00 a.m. ET on the day that is 7 months from today's date. Or you may begin a new search."

Wouldn't 11 months from September 30, 2014 be October 30, 2013?

Please help me count.

I don't get it either. You should have been able to make that reservation anytime after 8 AM Eastern on October 30. If you still have trouble this morning, call MS.

In fact, even if you are successful, consider sending an email to MS to report the problem.

P.S. If it doesn't work this morning, here are a few things you can try before MS opens: Try using a different browser, and/or clearing cookies and cache and then restarting your computer. Also, I have had zero trouble with any of the Disney websites (knock on wood, knock on wood and repeat, LOL) by making sure to log off every time I use one of the sites. Things often went "wonky" before I started to do that. Good luck!

It should have worked. If it continues not to work., you should report the problem. Usual issue that can arise often that time of morning is that the system does not work for a couple of hours because they use the early hours of the day to do maintenance and updating.

I know with ADRs six months actually means 180 days. So maybe 11 months means 330 days and you are a day or three too soon.

I have the same date, September 30th, as my start date. Even though the side note says I can book a vacation beginning on that date, I get the same message.

Curious question because it worked for me just now....but Today is the Oct 31. Do you think maybe with September being a 30 day month, and Oct a 31 day month that their computers make you wait until today instead of yesterday?????

Did you call MS and see if they could book it for you yesterday???

I just went on and it did allow me to book September 30th at my home resort.

So maybe 11 months means 330 days and you are a day or three too soon.

The booking window for DVC Home Resort reservations opens at 11 months, not 330 days.

I appreciate the confirmation that I do indeed know how to count and perhaps something funky was going on with the site. Interesting that some of you got exactly what I did while others were able to look up availability for the same date. Bizarre.

I did not call at the time because MS was closed since it was in the middle of the night.
