I am doing my regular, compulsive 300 day planning. As such I am exploring dining options for the family. I am the pickiest eater of the family and have tree nut allergies. No worries, I'll let dining know when I make the ADR's.

Now, trying to choose between restaurants. I need your immense knowledge and experience to help me pick some of our meal places.

Better character breakfast - O'Hana or Chef Mickey's?

Epcot FW lunch - Garden Grill or Coral Reef?

MK lunch - The Plaza or Be Our Guest?

What is a good Epcot WS lunch? I'm not fond of weird food and strange sauces.

Any other "must do's"?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Slight edge to Ohana breakfast over Chef Mickey's.

Wasn't impressed with Coral Reef apart from the fish tank.

Be Our Guest!!

We truly love the food at Garden Grill and the characters. Coral Reef was okay - not great.
We like Ohana but never went to Chef Mickeys.
We also liked the food at Be Our Guest - it was a long wait the two times we went but enjoyed our meal.

Enjoy!

Better character breakfast - O'Hana or Chef Mickey's? 'Ohana over Chef Mickey... For me CM is the worst TS is Disney. My favorite though is Crystal Palace with early park entrance.

Epcot FW lunch - Garden Grill or Coral Reef? Not impressed with Garden Grill or the food. Coral Reef gets some mixed reviews but I have been there 3 times and enjoy it. My only complaint is how long it can take to be seated past my ADR.

MK lunch - The Plaza or Be Our Guest? The Plaza is not bad, but the atmosphere is breathless at BOG and lunch is much better than dinner there. I give the edge to BOG.

What is a good Epcot WS lunch? I'm not fond of weird food and strange sauces. I love weird food and strange sauces; this is why I enjoy San Angel Inn, Biergarten and Tokyo Dining. If you like Italian then perhaps Via Napoli and another you may like for lunch would be Rose & Crown.

Any other "must do's"?

Restaurants that I really enjoy that are not signatures (which we always do) and don't have weird food and strange sauces are: Whispering Canyon Cafe, The Wave and Raglan Road just to name a few.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is nothing compulsive about planning at 300 days... It's perfectly normal. :rotfl:

Hands down for the Plaza. My dad has tree nut allergies too and Chef Ken is amazing and they requested eating there again this summer.

Here now and went to Coral Reef yesterday for dinner. It was okay nothing to go out of your way for. You aren't guaranteed a seat next to the aquarium and I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Also had lunch at be our guest Friday it was okay also I would go back however

Love both Ohana and Chef Mickeys for breakfast, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Ohana.

Garden Grill over Coral Reef, without a doubt! It is one of our favorites for dinner but I think lunch and dinnermare similar as far as food goes. Went to Coral reef once and wasn't thrilled with it. One and done.

Between BOG and The Plaza, I would go with The Plaza. We love BOG, but only for dinner. The Plaza is a hidden gem. Great food!

When we do lunch in WS, we tend to go to Lotus Blossom Cafe in China. We love the orange chicken and rice meal there. We've been to American Adventure, but it is your typical burgers and fries. Mexico has great nachos at the QS too!

My votes are: Ohana, Garden Grill, and The Plaza.

In the WS, you might consider the Rose & Crown in England or the Biergarten Restaurant in Germany.

For other goodies, I would suggest the Crepe stand in France and the margaritas from the La Cava in Mexico.

We haven't been to all of the places you mentioned but I can tell you we did not like Coral Reef at all, went for dinner and it was a nightmare! We went to BOG for lunch and it was ok and I'm glad we went but we won't go back again unless we decide to try dinner there.

Better character breakfast - O'Hana or Chef Mickey's? Food quality goes to Ohana, amount of choices, CM, comes down to which characters you prefer to see IMO

Epcot FW lunch - Garden Grill or Coral Reef? Though we have never been to CR, GG gets my nod, food is really good

MK lunch - The Plaza or Be Our Guest? The Plaza, simply because the food is better IMO. Love the atmosphere at BOG so if that is what you know you want to go for, then BOG

What is a good Epcot WS lunch? I'm not fond of weird food and strange sauces. Sunshine Seasons gives everyone great choices. Lotus Blossom Cafe is one of my favorites, not sure if this will be too far off base for your tastes

Any other "must do's"? 50s PTC, San Angel Inn, ESPN, Rose N Crown, Via Napoli(Piccante Pizza), The Wave, Kona

Thanks in advance for your help.

I prefer the food at Ohana vs. Chef Mickey's. Coral Reef is one of my all time favorites, so I'd definitely pick that for lunch. In EPCOT, I'd pick Biergarten or Via Napoli.

Biergarten in Epcot it's fun, food is very good. I loooooove the chives brie cheese and the pretzel Rolls mmmmmmmm!
