It will probably be DH, DS3 and myself and in another room my adult DS and DD.
We have never used WDW bus system before, we will be going 1st week of December, so a good transportation to the parks would be great!

Help you choose a resort? Much will depend, of course on how much you want to spend.

I'm one of those people (who has visited WDW many, many times) who never understands the complaints about WDW transport. The bus system works very well, the monorails are great, the ferries run regularly, and the walkways are well kept.

What sort of things do you like? Do you want to enjoy the resort, or just use it as a place to sleep and go, go, go? Do you just want a resort room, or do you want a complete villa with separate bedrooms and a kitchen, and a laundry room?

Disney really does offer it all. Values are very nice; in your face Disney themes, and nice food courts. Moderates are equally as nice and add a full service restaurant. Deluxes are tricky. Some really are not worth the effort or rates, but most are lovely.

It will depend upon how much you want to spend, if you have a location preference and what sort of accommodation you want.

What's your price range? Value? Moderate? Deluxe? That will help focus your choices.

I personally do not have an issue with WDW transportation and find that for the most part it is equal between resorts. Monorail resorts are nice and are all deluxe hotels.

My favorite resort is POLY...but its also one of the most expensive. You might also consider a 1br villa (or 2br villa) at Beach Club, Boardwalk, or Bay Lake Tower (I like those that you can WALK to a park).

for me none of the deluxes have good transportation to the theme parks.

now the Epcot resort (BC/YC, D/S, BW) have excellent transportation to Epcot and hollywood studios - you can walk or boat

the MK resorts (Polyn, CR/BLT, GF, WL/VWL) have great transportation to the MK - you can walk (CR/BLT), take the monrail - Polyn,GF or cr/blt, take a boat - WL/VWL, Polyn or GF or take a bus - wl/vwl

the Mk resorts (polyn, cr/blt or gf) also have monrail transportation to epcot.

for the other places it is bus transportation.

the best bus transportation at WDW for me is Pop Century.

it has one stop and then goes immediately to the parks or DD.

POFQ shares with POR - so it has 5 stops

CBR is a big resort - so it has 7 stops.

CSR has 4

all star has 3

so if good transportation is a big concern would go with Pop century
