I have booked a meal already at San Angel, but I just don't know about it. Nothing against it or those who like it, but I have eaten there (quite a long time ago) and I can get Mexican food often.
It will be my DH(25), mom(56) and dad(54), and me(24). Any recommendations and reasons why. Thanks! :goodvibes

If you can get it, Le Cellier was great.

I got the pork chop and substituted the salad for cream cheese mashed potatoes. It was great...the pork chops embedded in cream cheese mashed potatoes were amazing.

And the chocolate cake for dinner is great too!

Biergarten was also good when we went there. It's interesting to try all the German sausages and soups and such. :rotfl: The chicken is very good too.

And the Oompah band was entertaining as well. :rotfl2:

San Angel has always been our must go to place, but our trip Thanksgiving week surely changed that. It was not good at all, everything from service to the food was terrible. Needless to say we will not return. LeCellier was awesome, we totally love this place! Appetizers to desserts were incredible! :thumbsup2

The mussell appetizer was the best thing I ate all week and I don't even care that much for mussells, dipping pretzel bread into that sauce full of bacon and potatoes was pure heaven! :cloud9:

If you have never eaten at Le Cellier, it's great the first time. But compared to what you would have gotten last year this time, it would be disappointing. We went last October and this past October, this last time I was so mad at how much the food had changed and the portion size. (We were on the dining plan).

By far, the best meal and service we received was at Coral Reef. It's not on your list, but it's worth a try! We loved it. There were 6 of us, and we all voted it the best meal.

I voted for le cellier :thumbsup2 I love the cheese soup and the steaks are very good. 2nd place goes to Chefs de France.

Le Cellier the mussels are outstanding.

I totally agree with this statement. We are frequent Disney visitors and in fact are here right now. We used to love Le Cellier and have had many great meals there. Our meal there on Thursday was such a disappointment; the food and service were not anywhere near what we've come to expect from Le Cellier. :sad1: Although I'm sure we'll book Le Cellier on some future visit I think we'll be skipping it for the next time or two.

The 2 best WS meals we've had this week have been Rose & Crown (surprisingly enough) and Chefs de France.

my favorite is the San Angel Inn but on your list Le Cellier is tops.

Le Cellier!!!

We just got back from our trip and had Le Cellier on our last night in WDW. We were kicking ourselves for not eating there EVERY NIGHT we were there AND because we had never eaten there the last 5 trips!

Everything was to die for! Get a PS for everynight you are there and you will be in good shape! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Le Cellier. It was our best meal the whole week. DH41 had the mushroom filet. I had the New York Strip. DS11 had the pork tenderloin with the cream cheese potoatoes instead of sweet potatoes. My two little boys had plain pasta. It was all fabulous. The shrimp coctail with wasabi coleslaw appetizer was FABULOUS. I will be recreating that one!!!

Have a great trip!

We did lunch at Le Cellier this summer and absolutely loved it! It was so good! Everything we had was wonderful. Hope you enjoy your choice! Have a great trip!

I've eaten at Le Cellier twice and enjoyed it both times, but voted for Marrakesh as a more entertaining and interesting experience - not to mention the fabulous food! The entrees are not highly spiced so the less adventurous diner doesn't need to be afraid, but the food is just different enough to make it more special than a steakhouse. Beyond the food, the decor is gorgeous and the musicians and belly dancer provide excellent ambience. I can have steak anywhere; when on vacation, and especially in a place like the "World Showcase," I'd much rather try something exotic.

ITA. Le Cellier is a steakhouse. It looks like a steakhouse - reminds me of the inside of Steak and Ale. The food tastes like a steakhouse. I am sure you can find an upscale steakhouse wherever you live with a similar ambiance, and just as good (if not better) steak. We like it, and usually eat there on one trip a year - but it is not the type of restaurant you can only experience at the WS.

Alfredos is good, but Mexican and Italian are probably two types of food/atmosphere that you can get at home.

That leaves the following:

Biergarten - loud and fun. You sit at long tables with other families. Very unusual atmosphere (A++) and it's probably difficult to find authentic German food at home. If you like beer, this is your place.

Chefs de France - The atmosphere is nice, although not as unusual or magical as some of the more heavily themed restaurants. It's not easy to find good French food everywhere. French food is not my favorite - but if you love it - Chefs is a good choice.

Akkershus - The atmosphere here is not that exciting - sort of like a scaled back inside of Cinderella's Royal table - but there are PRINCESSES!!! (Not sure your mom and dad are princess fans). Lots and lots of little kids and families. The food is extremely authentic Norwegian food - people love it or hate it. Lots of cabbage and cold smoked seafood. I imagine Norwegian food is hard to come by - so if you love it - Akkershus is worth the visit.

Nine Dragons - I have not eaten there.

Marakeesh - This is my favorite. A++ atmosphere/theming. I also love Moroccan/Persian food and it's hard to find. Depending on your parent's personalities, the bellydancers will possibly delight or offend them.

My preference for Marakeesh is really based on the fact that I just like the food. So, I'd say for an unusal dining exerience, I'd suggest Markeesh, Biergarten, or Chefs De France - depending on what type of cuisine your party prefers.

Another vote for Marrakesh as a more exotic option that you may not be able to find in your town!

I voted for Marrakesh. The food was great - loved the theming and service. As much as I liked Le Cellier, I am more excited about returning to Marrakesh.

Have a great trip! :wizard:
